Greetings
« on: January 30, 2007, 07:47:30 pm »
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I've been looking around for a free mmorpg for quite some time now and I've gotta say that this one looks very promising. I just finally broke my WoW addiction and I'm having a rough time keeping interested in the MUD I play, so I thought I'd give this a shot :).

Wanted to ask the basics and double check if I understood everything correctly.

1. There's pvp in this game? Player vs. Player to be more specific? Generally just means I can go out and kill someone else, and if so are there restrictions on it? (area specific, agreed duels, ect)

2. I noticed that you can hunt rats and what not, but are there any other things to go out and kill? Silly question, but might as well ask.

3. Are there more than three areas to the game? I know there's the cat people's world (looking forward to being one btw), the main one (can't remember what it's called) and the death area?

4. I noticed there's no class system in the game either, which is rather appealing and interesting to say the least. I take it this is a more "Morrowind" approach type game where you just pick up and go with whatever you'd like? If so, that's rather cool.

5. I'm used to playing my RP inforced MUD, and I didn't mean to scare any of you with "oh no, not another WoW addict!" *hehe*, but how inforced is the RP here? Am I going to be walking around and listen in on "lol ur a noob" over and over? Or is there some amount of civil conversations in the realm?

Thanks in advance for the replies as I'm looking forward to playing with you all. Game looks good so far, even from 25% downloaded. :P

There is pvp but it is agreed duels and is frowned upon in public places

While RP is not actually enforced the idea of PS is to roleplay, out of char OOC chat must be in brackets []{}() and kept to a minimum while in public and leet/aolspeak not condoned

It's better than Morrowind as your not stuck with a class title hanging over your head for ever. Allows for nice career changes. That and there is no overall character level like in Morrowind and most other games of that nature.
I suggest the statue of Laanx gets turned into a statue of Parallo <3. An NPC could never replace the huge hole he left in my heart when he died  :'(
