So...looks like war
« on: March 07, 2003, 02:28:34 am »
I\'m watching this thing, and it looks like unless Sadam coughs up some \"Weapons of mass destruction\" the US is off to war for sure....am I understanding this right? (I can misunderstand things so easily its not funny)

Note: I\'m not asking for your opinions on the subject, I just want to know :P

This is what happens when you give a child (GW.B) a nice new toy.  He has to show it to everyone even though his parents (The UN) tell him not to.

does anybody like GW?
I think we all know that one of the reasons he\'s starting this war is to keep the mess he made of US out of the papers. If people concentrate on the war, nobody notices what he does to the budget or the education.

yes, Bush will go for war without a doubt. Be it witj or without the support of the rest of the world.

Not that he\'ll succeed in his mission, he\'ll never catch saddam, just like bin laden.

at the risk of being called a traitor, I wonder how many people in a poll would vote to assasinate bush in order to save the world?

First Saddam needs to disarm, he refusees, then he starts. Bush says, \"Oh saddam is disarming, it\'s a setup\". How does he know they haven\'t figured out that the US is going to blast them into hell if they don\'t do whatever they say, so they are disarming? How does he know they have the weapons? A traitor is that trustworthy to tell them he does? Now Saddam has to leave his own country? I think George needs to leave their country, and ours.

Well take a look at the news .. how many people has GW sent to middle east now - something around 200.000? And how many plane carriers (with other ships to guard them) are moving towards middle east? If you ask me GW hasnt got the option anymore to go to war or not ... he ultimatly has to because the costs of getting all those marines back home would be too high for the US alone. Thats why he wants the UN to chip in.

anyway sooner or later the us citizens hopefully will notice that their \"democracy\" has just turned to a nicer description of modern despotism by the economy.

Saddam kills his own people, war is inevitable. If we dont go, Saddam will kill more of his own people, the Jewish, and eventually release his biological weapons and kill millions of people. If we dont go, I believe more will die than if we do. Searching for Osama didnt go too cool. We didnt find him, but we did find some of his top cronies, and set up a government. Afghanistan women can now go to school, show their wrists and not be beat for it, and see doctors. Most people who say \"Bush is nuts, Saddam is harmless\" are trying to follow a crowd. Saddam isnt harmless, he\'s killed killed his own, and still has people in his very own concetration camps.

Dammit i hate this \"Bush wants oil!\" \"Bush is a greedy old bastard!\" blah blah blah.

here, venge wrote this in the peace demonstration post:

Quote

b) It has been said that Bush is only doing this for the money, or because he wants to control the oil over there.  This is really the opposite of the truth.  The USA only gets 17% of its oil from ANY Arab country, and 0% from Iraq.  The countries who get oil from Iraq, and who have the most economic ties to Iraq at this point, are who?  France, Germany and Russia--the exact three countries who oppose this war the most.  THEY are the ones who care only about money and not about morality or the safety of the western world.

War is a terrible thing.  Why is it the first thing Bush jumps too?  It should not happen unless necessary.  Bush has barely made an effort to gain support.

I wish Bush just go ahead and bomb him and get it over with. He is spending way too much of our tax money. He needs to drop 2 dombs on on bil Ladin and one on Sadam.
