One little thing you forgot there in your logic

The french, germans and russians where all in support for the UN inspections, now if France where in fact objecting to teh war to stop people from finding out that the weapons saddam might have where french supplied (im in no way sticking up for teh french, i know perfectly well that they and many other countries which also include teh USA have companies that supplie and build arms and sell them to who ever pays them the dosh)... Why were the the french there fore behind the UN inspectors?... who would have found the weapons anyway if they where there?.. had they been given the time.

As for British media such as ITV and BBC1, its alot more open minded than the openly unashamedly biased CNN  and ABC, after watching teh last 4 days of international media coverage its amazing just how pathetic teh american news stations realy are. No wonder you still have people supporting the war in america when there sources of news are so damned biased.

my only beef is that my own country has quickly stoped the BBC live coverage and gone back to its usual TV schedual.

Europe isn\'t so scotch free (is that the right phrase?) from what I\'ve heard, Back in the late 1910s and early 1920s the bigger European countries were trying to get middle eastern lands.  They often promised lands to 2 people, or set waring arab factions against each other for their own benefit. Iraq had a few revoloutions due to British Treaties and ruling in the early-mid 20th century.  America wasn\'t really big into the middle east then.  I think that if Europe had a bit of foresight we MIGHT not be in this little mess.


EDIT: Whoops, forgot the Crusades too, I mean what better way to form a realtionship with an area than to kill its people for some land that was holy 1000 years ago?  What if the descendants of the mayans, or the aztecs, or the incas, or whoever controled Mexico City marched back into modern day Mexico City and tried to claim it for themselves because it was thier Holy Home Land ~500 years ago?
