I really need a planeshift map, does someone know a god webbpage with a map?

That would be giving you a spoiler. We have a stickied thread of general maps of the PS world (General Discussion), but nothing specific of cities or the wilderness. Either you will have to ask around in a more inconspicuous manner, make maps on your own using paper and pencils, or you will have to wait for a cartography skill.

I'm surprised "use the search feature" wasn't mentioned.  A map is one of the biggest new player complaints.

Marcus, there are maps, but you're not going to find them here on the PS Forum.  Many guilds collect information for their members, maps being some of the information they collect.  Joining a guild is an advantage in PS: you instantly get friends and usually access to a wealth of information.  I suggest you read about the different guilds in the Guilds Forum and then meet members of the guilds that interest you in game, to see if you would fit in and then join one.  There is even a guild for people that don't want to be in a structured guild but want the advantages a guild brings (Janner's Way).

Janner's Way is reforming.  Look for a character named Arded.  (I think.)

Svuun and I have decided that Janners Way needs to live on! We have decided to make a new guild. This guild by no means will be a copy of Janners Way. Janners Way was a great guild in its time and while we want to remember it we must move on. Nothing is set with the new guild, but we do no that any previous members of Janners Way are welcome.

We don't expect to become very active again. We only wish to keep a place for use in Planeshift somewhere. We will slowly develop ideas and events. At the moment we need a guild name. Any help would be appreciated! So far we have decided we want to be role played based and try to create some fun events. Also we wouldn't mind having a little evil involved with the good of creating events and etc.

Please post here if you are interested and also post any name ideas.

Joining a guild would be a great idea.  I remember when I first began a long time ago I quit the game after only a week or two.  Well one day about a year later I decided I would give the game a try again.  Luckily for me that time I might a helpful fellow by the name of Janner.  Before long I was a member of Janners Way.  Like stated unfortuntley this guild no longer exsist.  It was a great guild for beginners, but I am sure there are other active guilds that will fulfill your needs.

Yes you are correct, some Janners Way members are going to try and get a guild going again.  So far only Svuun, Learch, and me (dmiles).  However, we are going in a different direction than the old Janners Way.  Unfortuntley none of us have the time nowdays so it could be a long process getting another guild together.
