What I mean is that lately FF games lost part of their "spirit", the more modern ones lack something that existed the classics like FF VI and FF VII.
That's true, but they're still really good games. Better than what those reviews made it out to be.
I dunno, it's real hard to create a completely different world and set of characters that are as good or better as the rest, time and time again. Most people struggle to come up with new ideas, even when all they need to change is the plot. Squaresoft consistently change
everything, and still manage to be one of the best series ever.
