Tried everything in there and it's not working. When I try the "chmod 755 psclient.app/Contents/MacOS/psclient" command (and for the setup and updater apps) I get the message "No such file or directory". 

I've now tried downloading the client from different sources and get exactly the same thing.

Edit: Thanks to dfryer's help I've now identified that this is a problem with my ISP not with PlaneShift. It seems they installed a new firewall and blocked port 7777 at the exact same time as I downloaded and tried the new client.

Theelk, do you have a console log of an attempt to run psclient?  Also due to some changes the new binary is  called psclient.app/Contents/MacOS/psclient_static (note the _static on the end...)

I found a proble with intel macs and some of the pop up windows, looting, selling, trading, and smithing/ironsmeling. they all crash the client. On a macbook, it could be the 950 intel intergrated video chip but since the rest of the game works reasonably well, so probably not.

Here's a log of the smithy crash,the inventory window is messed up towards the bottum  and it crashes right as you click on the ore.  If you need the other logs let me know also I keep getting a lot of other "Couldn't open image" and "Got DR message for unknown entity" lines. BTW can we update?

I've got the same problem here, some of the pop-up windows and some commands too make the game crash. I'm on a MacBook Pro.

edit : Anyway, i looked at the Mac client status thread, where it reads that Intel Macs are not yet supported. So I guess we'll have to wait a little. Good luck to dfryer in his attempt to find intel mac developers.

Now this is an edjucated guess but I think it has to do with the transision .gif of certain items when they are moved from one window to another . not the static picture when its in your invetory(or where ever it may be) but the one used when you move the item. it doesn't load or what ever the case and crashes the client as you click on it. I can't drop certain items from the inventory most of the time but once in while I can. ie gold, once in while vs Iron crashes everytime.

Then again probably not the base problem since trying to accept trades will crash the cleint also. I'll see if I can make it crash in other ways and report back.

I get the end line of,

Segmentation fault

when the crash occures but with so many Failed to set lines its hard for me to pinpoint what went wrong.

I don't know if this helps or not.

Unnamed_Source: most of that log is produced by other applications.  Could you email me the crash log in /Users/whoeveryouare/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/psclient.crash.log ?

My appologies, as I would love to but not knowing your address and I'm kind of doubfouded as to where or how to relay that log, for its quite a meaty one to spam everyone else here with it and as of now I'm 3 post shy of PM status with no luck through that route either. So it might be a while.... sorry.
