The Winch Quest  -  Chapter 0.3.018

To access what is called the winch you can easily follow a few short steps and it is

done at a glance.



Before starting, please check if other maybe needed "things" are done !


Step 1

Meet the NPC giving the quest, ask for the Quest.

You got it ? - Congratulations, you did it the "lucky way" (you should take part in

a lottery or something)

You didn't get it ? - That was expected, go further to Step 2


Step 2

Check your inventory for the following items:

A Towel (you always should have it with you)
some peanuts
a pocket calculator
An Alarm Clock


Sit down on your towel and eat some peanuts.

Meet the NPC giving the quest.
Sit down in front of him/her.
Logout ot off Planeshift.

Check the laanx server and look at the stats.
Look for the daytime with the fewest players online.
Convert this time to your local time zone (calculator)
Set the alarm to the just converted time of your timezone (Alarm Clock)
Shut down your computer and go to bed.
Wake up on the alarm and boot your computer.
Login to planeshift.

You discover that you're alone with the NPC !

Ask for the quest.

You got it ? - Congratulations, you did it the "ordinary way"

You didn't get it ? - Throw the towel against the wall (doesn't make noise) - shut

down your computer - go to bed - Try Step 2 again another day

I'm so glad I'm not addicted to planeshift.  I logged in, couldnt find the new area, checked the forums, found it was  a timed quest and just thougt

ooh.. i thought i where the only one  not hunting for the damn thing..! Tough i've thought about trying the hitchikers guid to yliakum before it even was posted tough... I'll be happy to lock everybody inside it later and then have some fun in yliakum all by myself
