Overly Lagging

I know this is probably my computer's problem but I can barely even move around because the game is lagging so much.  Before you flame me: I have a relatively new computer with decent memory.  I don't know if you can fix this or not but if you can that would make the game much better.

'Relatively New' dosent tell us much. In order for anyone to help, please list your system specs.
Just of hand, Do you have the most up-to-date drivers for your Vid card ?

Let's see if you can tell me if this works for you...

One of the things I tell people to try, since I was told the same, is:

When in game, go to Options->Graphics->Details.

There's "Fps cap" value. Lower it. I've it at 25, and the game looks Ok to me.
It's true that I run it windowed, on 800x600 resolution, and that I do nothing risky with it (attack mobs with combo fatalities or read a book inside a library) but so far I experienced a great reduce on cpu usage when playing the game, and no visual loss (that is, you don't see lack of "image refreshing")

Fist off what operating system are you using, windows, linux or are you using a Mac?
If Windoze;
Go to control pannel and select System. It will tell you some of the info required.

Then, go to start menu and select run, enter 'DXDIAG' - this will give you Info on your Vid card and drivers and such.
