[Guild] We wise few
« on: February 15, 2007, 12:05:35 pm »
I believe that there in this world exist no thing withch is good or evil I also don’t believe that actions performed by creatures can ever be called “right” or “wrong”. I believe that the term good and the term eveil only exists as long as a thinking creature defines something to be “evil” or “good”, and that the definition only applies to the creature who made it, or the creatures who adapted the definition. Therefore i believe that it is my duty to make people understand the consequenses of their acts.

This guild has been created to defend its own members, this means that we may try to force another guild to stop its current project if we believe that it will decrease our power or our life condition. As long as a guilds current actions doesnt involve us we will mind our own bussiness, and just let things happen. But if a given force try to "take over the world" or another extreme act, we will first try to convince them that what they do is wrong, and if they do not listen we will collect other guilds that share our posture about them and try to force them to give up their project. We belive that people who we think are acting "evil" or "wrong" has to understand the consequense of what they are doing before their punishment, however if they dont want to understand a thing, we will not show much more mercy to them than a wild animal shows to its prey.

Out of character stuff:

Ethic rules:

Our clan is neutral that means that you may not adapt other clans postures about things/creatures.

You have to be ready to question every act you are about to perform example: You want to duel “Chad” for a given reason, but before you bring that thought to live you have to ask yourself questions like these “Am I fair against “Chad”?
“Will this bloodshed lead to any good solutions for me?”
“Can this change peoples thoughts about me/my clan to the worse/better?

Technical rules:

Remember to greet members of your guild when you/they come online.

Always put non role-play related chat inside brackets []

Requirements:

Minimum 2 weeks of experience in the world of Hydlaa
You must be at least 13 years old

Ranks:

Initiate: Learning the guilds rules and postures.
Member: New member in the guild.
Mentor: Member in the guild who knows its rules by hearth, and has therefore been granted the ability to invite new members into the guild. MINIMUM 1 WEEK IN THE GUILD+MEMBER STATUS
Officer: Advanced member who has been granted the permission to give orders that have to be obeyed by members with a lower rank than his. MINUMUM 1 WEEK IN THE GUILD+MENTOR STATUS+2 RECRUITED "QUALITY" MEMBERS
Executive: Advanced member who may warn other members and kick them out of the guild if they do not respect his warnings/orders. MINIMUM 2 WEEKS OF GUILD EXPERIENCE
Vice  and Guild leaders: Has the power as an executive exept for the permission to estimate if members should be promoted.

At first sight this guild idea is starting off good ... however I do miss detail: a background history that is in line with the game settings? Some information about the founder? A few more specific goals than "we're neutral." would be nice as well. For example: "We strive to reduce dueling and make the people (also non-guild members) think before fighting eachother." Basically set a few goals about what your guild would add to the grand community in Yliakum. Will they be neutral and just mind their own business, will they interfere and try to make both parties think in times of war or will they do something else entirely like providing knowledge, objects, ... ?

Second remark ... the name, personally I find it a bit cheesy ... maybe a name with a better ring to it can be thought up?

P.S.: these remarks are pointers to show where you can work on to make an even better guild, not critics that say "Boo! Bad guild! Boo! Leave PS forever now!" :P

Thanks for using so much of your time, i think that reply is all that i need to make a good advanced guild. And about the name I didnt liked it myself either, so i'll delete it and try to come up with a new one.

Due to the lack of interest in the guild, it is put down. (I guess it wont come up as a shock for most people, since i havent been playing for a month or so).
