Does this happen with all characters you try to create?
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Have you tried a reinstallation? Sometimes that's just the trick.

yeh just reinstalled it to sort out the server locked problem causd by the update but ill try again possibly 3rd time lucky.

*edit*

Ok uninstalled and deleted folder from program files before reinstalling but it still didnt work, but i decided to turn setting down to min and that did the trick, dont see why i can quad eq and ao with all settings maxed without lag, so should be able to play one version of this at default settings.

anyway thanks for the help appear to have it working now.

Awesome :) Just in case someone else has the same problem, can you mention which specific settings you changed?

I also had this problem when using PlaneShift for the first time. I went into setup, and set all configurable options to their bare minimums (including all sliders and radio buttons). I'm currently trying to isolate which setting is causing this, and I'll post it when I discover what it is.

I confirm the runtime error. its probably related to "load all maps" or "keep maps". i turned both off and VB objects too. Now it works.
