Geez.. I would hope they would never add guns to the game lol...

Imagine... This old player who has not played for 2 years, and he logs in to find that his in rusting armour with a rusty sword while everyone has a tommy-gun...

Yeah that would be somthing....
Plus to overpowered weaponms at the moment. If you wanted to go hand to hand, your screwed.
it would end up looking somthing like the Indiana jones scene.

Player: /pose - does some strange pose, ultra harcore technical hand crap and looks cool with their swords

Player2: Shoots player1 and walks off.

plus with the idea of king of the hill style guild wars PVP sty;le stuff that people are interested... does anyone get a d-day image?

It used to be that melee was as good or better than swords or axe.  (Daggers weren't around then.)  The problem is that if you have someone skilled in unarmed combat and someone equally skilled in knife fighting or longsword, the unarmed guy is screwed.  It's entirely realistic.

There should be a way to make melee more attractive, and not just by adding "melee based" weapons (bit of a contradiction in terms, but you know what I mean).  Perhaps melee could be trained to a higher level than weapons.  There could be some hidden NPC on top of some lonely mountain all by himself, and he happens to train melee fifty levels past what anyone trains swords etcetera.  Of course, finding him will be a trick since he's so isolated, and perhaps he won't always be where you left him.  And of course you'll need to fetch him some strawberries before you can train with him, and they happen to only grow at the base of the mountain.

That would be good, melee is completely useless in game against a equal level in weapons. Some bronze knuckles would be nice.

(as seen by the Winch).

How about a zip line then, say between  the tall tower and the library. We can all go splat on the side of the library going 40 mph. A fun new way to DR, and an alternative off the tower to the big drop/jump.

But on a serious note, if NO on bazookas, how about a YES on jet packs? then we can /unstick from the azure sun.

Wax on... Wax off  vs sword= pick up hand off the ground. If you want realistc, make sheaths for weapons(stuff'em in your inventory) so unarmed is the only option when in town.(or in the presence of athority) Give unarmed greater dodging ability but no parry(pick up hand off ground), throw in judo in the mix by tossing your foe about, and add a pinch of TV wrestling. With that you get  a monkey punch followed by a leg toss and ending with a scissor lock, just before being split in two by their axe.

I'm gonna play an Enkidukai assassin. Enkidukai look like their specialty will be stealth related. I think this race would be the best at  bows/arrows if they put them in, as their agility looks to be highest. Heres hoping for archers in the future ^_^

I don't think guns will go well with the medieval setting, i wouldn't want to be holding a sword when i meet an RPG user lol
