My dilemma
« on: March 06, 2007, 09:33:15 am »
It's so frustrating getting a desired object, then not knowing what to do with it..

I just got a debit card this month, and after a few months of a fixed income I have enough money to buy nice things. However, with the introduction of a nice plastic toy I have lost all drive and desire to buy anything. Anyone have any good advice for good online games/websites/forums/etc. that require a credit card?

I imagine the debit card at the beginning was a typo?
Unless it's different in the states.

My advice, save your money, Kixie.  Saving is fun.

Well the two as far as the internet is concerned are interchangable, but I did mean debit card. But, I don't like saving. I don't like it one bit. Saving is what I do every time I get a check, and it makes me feel stupid. Honestly, I'm not even sure why I'm saving. So blowing off some steam with a good game seems like the perfect remedy. I'm THIS *shows thumb and forefinger* close to buying a 'bag of crabs' from Weebl.

Well...

Vanguard looked good.  Don't know if they screwed up but, if you are intent on spending money, that's where I would spend it.

Or get DOD:S or Supreme commander.

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.

Wow, what an odd question.

Don't you have any expensive hobbies you could blow your money on? Or maybe you should save up for a car/apartment/etc.

Or snipe stuff off e-bay. Always fun... until it arrives at the door...

Buy a ticket to Holland, buy a ticket for Pink Pop (don't let the name mis lead you ;) ) and buy a tent if you don't have one... take some money with you and have 3 days off niceness :P

At least that what i would do, except the ticket  ;)

EDIT : I mean except the 'flying' ticket xD

Save obsessively, and once you have enough money to buy more stuff, don't, because it's all earning extra interest :|

If interest > inflation, then yes.  But...
