Things I would buy if I had the money and a debit card (so didnt have to get some random guy on the bus to work to order me stuff  :-\):

A new CPU,
Insurance for my mates car so he can give me free driving lessons,
a new HDD,
Decent internet connection,
Pay off the loan I got after my monitor went bang,
Buy a better monitor,
buy a new soundcard,
Think of something that doesnt make me sound computer obssesed ;)

Well, thats a list off the top of my head. Basically go round shops and anything you see that you might want, pick it up, buy it.

.....Dont buy stuff, saving is better than buying yada yada yada (we all know thats total BS) ;D

Lol, I was just thinking about this too, and here's my list:

This really cool fantasy axe I found
A $1,100 pair of custom-crafted Butterfly Swords *drools*
Chinese Wind & Fire Wheels
United Cutlery "Samurai 3000" Katana
Anything (Swords or daggers) by Kit Rae
The Excalibur "ExoMax" hunting crossbow or
The Viper Extreme 185-lb. Crossbow (that's powerful)
Even though I don't even know how to use compound bows, this looks awesome...
A Pearl Drum kit
Blade's coat
New rock boots. Specifically Demonia Gravel-20s or Whatever the hell these are
A Mauser c-96 "Broomhandle"
A P-90 Submachine gun

And something else that doesn't make me out to be so weapon-obsessed :P

(God, I'm starting to salivate... I need to stop...)

Save obsessively, and once you have enough money to buy more stuff, don't, because it's all earning extra interest :|

If interest > inflation, then yes.  But...

General stuff devalues way too quickly as it gets outdated/used anyway. There would have to be some *huge* amounts of inflation to compensate for that.

So don't get "general" stuff.

@emeraldfool:  Pearl drumkits are crap.  For cheep kits, pacifica and tama are better.  For expensive kits, Ayotte, Premier, Gretsch, and DW are better.  There's no reason to spend money on a Pearl kit.

Grersch FTW!! Masterworks aren't that bad. Not worth the money though.
I suggest the statue of Laanx gets turned into a statue of Parallo <3. An NPC could never replace the huge hole he left in my heart when he died  :'(

Actually, it's between Pearl, Premier and Ludwig.

My friend has a Pearl set and it sounds and plays awesome, and he'll argue with you for hours if you try to convince him they're not the best things ever :P I've always liked Premier (mainly 'cause they're cool, and are always like the most expensive...) but Ludwig have made some of the Coolest Drum Kits Ever... (Vistalites FTW)

Ludwig's clear plastic shells look cool but I don't like the tone.

It's so frustrating getting a desired object, then not knowing what to do with it..

I just got a debit card this month, and after a few months of a fixed income I have enough money to buy nice things. However, with the introduction of a nice plastic toy I have lost all drive and desire to buy anything. Anyone have any good advice for good online games/websites/forums/etc. that require a credit card?

STEAM!
They have tons of kickass (some suck ass, but...) games availible for download. Payment is via credit card and downloading is generally fast. Thast where all my money goes :)

Captain Capitali$m advice$:

Open a grocery store or something, be an young(or old as I don't know) enterpreneur

Wait! The big corporations will sooner or later smash it, Captain Capitali$m sucks as he only reads theorical books. Here's another one

Uncle Scrooge advices:

Just keep it with yourself... and don't spend it with useless things.

My advice is that you save one third of the money for the future, spend one third on yourself and those around you in some memorable way, and the final third you give away to a worthy cause of your choice.

Id prefer:

Spend one third on myself...... then do two thirds less work :)
