Good luck, best wishes.
« on: March 08, 2007, 02:39:51 pm »
I believe its time to detach myself from the Planeshift community.

The community isnt what It once was, years ago. those people whom I had befriended have long since departed. I know that communities are always dying and being reborn, But I dont favor these changes. and the way its evolving.

I beleive its time to detach myself from Planeshift, and its forums. It was very good to me, and I enjoyed my time.

Im certain you wont notice I am gone, But i'd like to wish Planeshift and its playerbase Good Luck, best wishes, and a bright future.

Ill be back to check on things once In a blue moon.

Farewell Moogie, Farewell Draklar, Farewell Drey. you will be missed.

Oddly appropriate (Atomic Blue, Molecular Blue, Crystal Blue, Steel Blue...Nurahk Blue :P)

It's a pity to see you say your farewells, Wisekran.  I'll keep in mind what you said about meeting in another realm.
Sorry the changes are to your taste.

Aww, you were funny. I can't remember exactly what you did or said that had me laughing out loud, but I remember it was you :P

Another player bites the dust.

Didnt really chat to you, might have met you in game (but I doubt your character was called WiseKran ;)), always sad to see people leaving though. Take care and enjoy whatever you do with yourself :)

Man, all your friends are gone?  That must totally suck.

So is there a certain time limit for befriending people, after which you say "No, no more - I'm done making new friends"? ;)

Thanks for the wishes, WiseKran. Best of luck to you on your own endeavors.

Oh, theres nothing the matter.

Its just that whatever I loved about planeshift, and possibly the community just isn't alive and well inside of me any longer. The magic is gone.

So don't think I dropped off the face of the earth, I will check up irregularly. But you won't notice.

Someday I may make a comeback, like rocky. but Until then, farewell.

edit:

No, its not that. I just feel that since planeshift is no longer one of my interests, that I have nothing to offer this community, and my dedication to friendships and socialization would be better served elsewhere.

ps, I will miss your art karyuu, and your witty sense of humor. Keep drawing, I've always loved your stuff

Farewell Moogie, Farewell Draklar, Farewell Drey. you will be missed.

I'm sure you're a nice guy, but you do realize that you're declaring your own personal experiences as universal?  Like Karyuu poked at, there isn't really a good reason to not continually meet new people and make new friends.  PS is a social game.

If the game doesn't have anything to offer you because you haven't kept up with the winds of change, that's unfortunate but understandable.  But don't take your personal experiences and put them on such a pedestal that you say things like "The community isn't what it once was".  What does that even mean?  You're trying to suggest that things in PS are deteriorating and you're an elite member of a better, nobler time.  What do you hope to gain or change by making such statements?

I'd feel sympathy for you if your way of looking at things wasn't so pretentious.

I think it's assumed that when he says "The community isn't what it once was" that he's speaking from his own point of view. His own community is gone. Replaced by a charming Irishman and his... sidekicks. :P Nothing is 'universal', and nothing can be.

No.  He's very clearly making a generalization about the Planeshift community as a whole.  He is very clearly interpretting his own experiences as universal.  He might as well correct his signature and replace Drey's name with his own.

I don't think anyone but you would take it in such a insulting manner. Can't you ever think anything but the worst of people... as much as you love arguing obviously.
