Problem with Easamau's Quest

Easamau's quest requires the gathering of 5 notes of assurance to be given to the tax collector.  I gave the first two, and then realized I had forgotten the third.  I completed the task and received the note, but now the tax collector "does not need that".  Do I need to delete and restart the quest, or is there another way around this.  Thank you.

Stuck in the same way ... you can re-strart without discarding the quest. Just talk to the tax collector about taxes again.

Just realized that you will get stuck at H due to certain steps taken to prevent playing from taking advantage of an exploit to get gold ingots.  Still don't recommend discarding the quest though. You might not be able to get the quest again for some time.

Seems the only solution short of discarding the quest is to visit the tax collector with 50000 tria.  Thanks.
