The Sheeples (formerly known as The Sheeple Foundation)
The following is all OOC. None of it actually happened, since the Sheeple 'guild' does not actually exist In-Character ingame. It is just there for your entertainment. Be sure to read THE SHEEPLE RULES OF ROLEPALY at the end so you completely understand what a Sheeple is and does.
Arnigus Faymore waddles up to the fountain and clears his throat. Rawth and Tawth (had to change their names) stride up beside him, their crisscrossed chest belts fairly bristling with small knife hilts. A crowd begins to gather. Arnigus puffs out his chest importantly, and begins to speak grandly.
“Hear ye, my good fellows and madams! I have news of the most excellent sort. After much time gone, the Sheeple Fou….”
A shrill scream is heard from the crowd.
“Er… I mean the Sheeples have returned. We had to drop the last word that starts with ‘F’ due to several of our members being afraid of long words starting with the letter ‘f’. Pardon for the confusion.”
A loud sigh of relief is heard from several places in the crowd.
“Now, this group I speak of is not a guild as you would normally think. It is more of a badge distinguishing us from the rest of the populace.”
Someone faints in the crowd.
“Oh…pardon. If you are afraid of badges, you don’t actually wear one. I should have said that straight away. It is all right, my friend. Someone please wake him up.” Arnigus rubs his hands together and looks out over the crowd. “Now, time for the business at hand. We need new vict…er…volunteers. Step right up and put you name to this paper.”
Arnigus waits with a proud expression on his face…
Yes, in fact, this is a real group using the guild system as a label. And yes, it is very serious, even though it may come off as a joke at first. This is a guild of Alts (or non-main characters). or you can make a main out of Sheeple as well. Your call.
The GOAL:
As the Sheeple motto states, “Not everyone can be a hero.” The Sheeples are an RP semi-event organization. If you see a Sheeple, you know -something- is going to happen. The following is why:
This guild is where those who are non-heroes reside. We are the weak, the meek, and the downtrodden. Evil thrives in the presence of the Sheeples. Lawbreakers lurk in the shadows at their every step. Bullies get rich off their lunch money. If you need to play any of these parts, then the Sheeples are your target.
So, I have listed how bad characters deal with the Sheeples, so how about the good? Well, to go back the Sheeple motto, but with a twist, “A hero can not be a hero with nothing to protect.” We, the Sheeples, will gladly fill that role. If you hear a Sheeple screaming in the night, it is your job to come running to our aid. Please do so.
The HISTORY:
There is no history. The Sheeple guild is a badge that states that your character abides by Sheeple Rules of Roleplay. Sheeples are regular folks who may not even know each other in-character. If you see the Sheeple guild name, assume you are seeing someone who looks either a) weak b) afraid c) someone who looks about to get into trouble.
THE SHEEPLE RULES OF ROLEPLAY (SROR):
These are rules in the works, and some will be changed, or added to. I ask that all players who consider themselves good RPers try to play a Sheeple at least once. Anyone who talks to me personally about their character may get bumped up to a higher 'rank' with their own 'title'. Anyone above Unknown may invite others to the guild. Yes, this is a mass-recruiting guild. But if you look at our purpose…we need the numbers.
Rule 1:
The Sheeple 'guild' does not exist! You will never say IC "I am a member of the Sheeple guild." This is an OOC 'sign' to tell people that you, the player, follow a certain set of roleplaying guidelines. Put this as the first thing in your description:
[OOC- I am a Sheeple, and follow the Sheeple Rules of Roleplay (SROR). More info at the end of my description.]
Put this at the end:
[[OOC- Sheeples are often the victims of Evildoing, such as robberies, muggings, kidnappings, scams, and general badguyness. If you wish to do these acts on this or other Sheeples, you MUST fully understand the SROR and abide by it. If you need more info, ask about the Sheeple Rules of Roleplay ingame book, or go to the forum and look at the Sheeple thread to read them in detail.]]
2: All Sheeples must have one -and only one- ridiculous fear. This is to add a little amusement to your character. Examples are: fear of the color blue, fear of open doors, fear of frilly pink umbrellas, fear of long words starting with the letter ‘F’, etc. Arnigus has a terrible fear of puppets, as a personal example. Bring this fear out once in a while, but do not overuse it. You can have the normal fears as well, such as the fear of spiders, creatures, the dark, and dying.
3: Never try to become the center of an ongoing RP. As a Sheeple, it is your job to add to RPs, not take them over. You are the walk-on in the movie, the unnamed person in the book, the extra in StarTrek, the hero's plucky sidekick.
4: Set your PvP to 'ask every time', but you must accept ALL well roleplayed duels (attacks) if the person knows the SROR. Then you must run away as fast as you can, if you can, if that is what your character would do. We are not in the market of being something to kill all the time. That is the job of Mobs. If someone is going to attack you, they had better have a good RP reason. “I am evil” is not a good reason.
5: If you are killed by another player in a well played out RP, your Sheeple character can be gone. Delete it and make another, if you wish. This is where making friends with heroes comes in handy. You do not HAVE to delete your character if you do not want to, and can come back to life. All Sheeples will be traumatized by dying, though, so keep that in mind. We don't like to be killed. Please don't make a drama out of it, though.
6: You can make your description as detailed as you want, but I recommend keeping it simple and basic. Don't be afrade to make it somewhat amusing. Never give your history out in your description, and delete all Character Creation items as soon as you can. If I see a Sheeple with Father: Blacksmith, I will have to thump you.
7: You can give points, but they don’t really mean anything right now. Perhaps they will later. Reasons for giving points would be for outstanding roleplaying. Reasons to detract would be 'cheating' by setting yourself up to be 'robbed' by people you know just to give them some money, or having a 'bad' description (see rule 6)
8: You can invite anyone you what to be a Sheeple, but only if they ask first, and have a new character (or a relatively unleveled alt that fits the Sheeple stype) . The Sheeples are a guild of alts for the most part, not main characters. Make very sure anyone who asks has read this thread.
9: You may not train fighting as a Sheeple as a general rule. Your base stats are you max stats. Mining, crafting, cooking and such are allowed. The exception to this rule is if you want to play a terrible fighter. Then some training in combat is allowed.
10: You may leave the Sheeples any time you like.
11: Sheeples may be assigned ‘missions’ that will put them in danger. These will be announced wherever people may be, and payments for services may be given out. (ask me about Sheeple funding)
12: I don't run the guild, just set up the rules. Do as you wish, and invite others who you deem worthy to create a character (or use one of their spare mules) to be a Sheeple. Spend as much or little time as a Sheeple as you like. This is meant to be fun, even when running for your life.

13: I do reserve the right to boot people out of the guild who do not follow the above rules.
14: Sheeples do not know each other until they meet. They also know nothing about the guild, as it does not exist IC.
BAD GUYS WHO WANT TO INTERACT WITH THE SHEEPLES RULES (BGWWTIWTSR)
1: These rules are for NON Sheeples. If you commit a crime on a Sheeple where it is seen, your character will be punished in the ways listed. If the Sheeple can identify you, you will be fined. If you kill a Sheeple, and refuse to follow through with the RP, the Sheeple comes back to life, and your pathetic ‘RP’ never happened. Anyone who knowingly attacks, robs, or does bad things to a Sheeple, then refuses to follow through with the RP will be shunned and ignored by all other Sheeples, and your name will go on a list of the Shunned. We will not forgive or forget after a week. All fines will be paid to the Sheeples. Fines and punishments are listed at the end of this post.
2: One good way to get back in the good graces of the Sheeples after violating rule 1 will be to actually create a Sheeple character and play it well.
3: If a player wants to attack a Sheeple, and knows what the Sheeple are, he/she must first /tell the Sheeple that they agree to the rules. If someone does not know the Sheeple rules, point them to the forums, and this thread. If they refuse, and are still trying to ply their evil on you, then assume the RP is harmless, and ignore the player. Log out if you have to.
4: Anyone who is about to attack a Sheeple must have auto-accept ON. The Sheeple may attack first to test this… then run.
5: People will come after you for committing a crime. You may not log off to escape. You must keep auto-accept ON or accept every challenge from pursuers within the Capture Window (see below). You will not be killed (this will be seen as another crime). There will not be a trial (if you did it, you did it. No need for the hassle of a trial.).
6: Good NPCs are safe areas. Any crimes you try to commit will be ignored.
7: Sheeples will generally 'carry' 500 to 1000 tria with them. It is up to the Sheeple to decide how much to give you, and if they are holding back. They will never give more than 1000.
The RANKS:
The ranks are simple. There are no ranks.
1> Unknown. These are new Sheeples that are not yet known OOC to the others. Spend your time as an unknown getting people to know you. Better yet, get them to like you. They will have more reason to protect you when Johnny Darkly comes calling. Stay in large groups of people if you can.
>>All ranks after this can invite new victims and give points. You can get a 'title' if you show exceptional roleplaying skills. I will remove titles from those who go inactive with their Sheeple (not logging in for a month).
9> Banker. This is Arnigus himself. Just a banker. This is my character.
That is about it for now. To be improved.
Don’t be an average coward. Be a Sheeple.
FINES AND PUNISHMENTS
These are in flux, and will be adjusted as needed. If you have suggestions for Crimes and Punishments, PM me or post here. Some of them may seem extreme, but these are our characters and our rules for allowing these actions. They only apply if you can be identified and captured.
People who commit crimes against the Sheeples are NOT to be killed. If using the combat system, knock them down and 'arrest' them, then take them to the nearest guard. You do not have to assault to arrest, and can do it peacefully through roleplaying. The capturing player may then collect any fines or impose punishments (RP that the guard did it.). Fines will then be transferred to a Sheeple character, and any capturing fees will be given to the players.
Every crime will have a 'Capture window', or time after the crime when the character can still be captured and made to pay the fine.
Assault (beating a Sheeple up, but not knocking them down): Capture window- 1 day. Fine: 1000 tria OR apologize to the Sheeple. Punishment: Not allowed in taverns for two hours. Reward for capture: 100 tria.
Bullying (beating up a Sheeple again, or more than once): CW- 2 days. Fine: 1000 tria for each instance, AND apologize to the Sheeple. Punishment: Not allowed in taverns for two hours per instance (2 ->4 ->6, etc). Reward: 100 tria per instance.
Brutal assault (knocking down): CW - 4 days. Fine 3000 tria. Punishment: Banished from the closest city for a day (may pass through OOC) or killing rats for an hour (public service). Reward: 500 tria.
Kidnapping: CW- One week after the Sheeple is let go.
Robbery (give me your money or else): CW- One week. Fine: Return all money, and pay 8,000 tria. Punishment: Banished from the closest city for 1 day OR killing rats for two hours. Reward: 2000 tria.
Mugging (knock down, then rob): CW- one week. Fine: Return all money, and pay 10,000 tria. Banished to the Bronze Doors for a day. Reward: 3000 tria.
Murder: CW- no limit. Fine: 20,000 tria. Banished from all cities for a week. Reward: 10,000 tria. (plus any bounties anyone may place.)
Killing spree (more than one Sheeple in a week): CW- no limit. Fine: 20,000 tria per instance. Banished to the DR for a week (until there is a prison.) Reward: 10,000 tria per instance.
