Hydlaa Cliffs Trading company:

Vashiel sat alone late, the candle burnt low and the wax melted across the table, he had finished writing the accounts for the day and was tired, he stood sheathing his broadsword as he left, it had been a a long day. His booted feet clacked against the tiled floor as he left the building. Suddenly a shadow flicked across the walls of the dimly lit foyer and he whirl around grasping the hilt of his sword, he examined the man, he was a cowering Demorian, one of the Trading Consulars from the current venture. He spoke quietly, just being nearly decapitated "S-sorry sir, but we just got in a shipment of gemstone from inside the Stone Mazes" Vashiel was pleased and sheathed his sword, this would open up a new avenue of Trade for the Hydla Cliffs Trading Company, many promotions and raises would follow.

Hydlaa is written with two 'a's, my friend.

Aside from that little detail it looks decent. Nothing new but it is not bad for a first try.

Do keep in mind that it is sometimes better to join a pre-existing guild than try and start a fresh one, especially when you're new to the game. There are guilds very much like this one which are already established and have plenty of members who actively RP.

Well, seems pretty acceptable, even though the information that you make available at the time is little, but truth is that at this time one can quite get by with just a strong hierarchy and strong rules.

I like the "Branching System", wouldn't I have adopted it as well to the Imperial Trades Guild. Keep in mind that trying to make a guild with crafters, traders and -guards- is usually a bit tricky, for the fact that the guild has to focus in three different parts even though it is clearly, by nature, focused only in two (meaning: the guild's nature "ditches" (as in loses focus of) the guards and makes it hard for recruition, unless you randomly mass-recruit, don't expect to have a good fighting force too soon).

Anyway, good to see another economic-related guild rising, though the name remembers me "Crafters of the Cliff", an in-game guild (maybe a sub-guild of this?..., I never saw a thread about them on the forums, but that may be due to my own inactivity). Good luck, the road of economy isn't currently an easy one, but that simply makes those who try it the more heroic.

Yeah it would be easier to join a preexisting guild, but what fun is that if you want to weild some power? And no its not part of Crafters of the Cliff, never actually heard of them. True my guards are not going to be a spectacular army to be reconned with but they should be able to guard baggage trains and such.

That's the argument most people use to create a guild, a powerhungry one. Imagine though that everyone, or more realistically, every good roleplayer, goes off creating their own guild. Now everyone will have power over themselves and maybe a few less interested people who either only play occasionally or are mass recruited right when they joined PS and didn't know they could have "Their Own Guild!" yet. :P

My point is that even if it is power you want, it can be better to join a preexisting guild which has already accumulated quite a bit of that power and work your way up through the ranks with hard work and dedication. It's even perfectly acceptable to join an existing guild, learn a whole lot, make a lot of friends and then tear yourself off to form your own guild. Of course it has to be done in a roleplaying manner and you will make enemies in your old guild but hey .. could be fun :D

Not all guild ideas survive, in fact, most don't really survive for long .. at least not the way they are planned. Sure in-game there are loads of guild names roaming around but when you would really look at the guild in question .. it still is just a name. They don't have many members, never do anything together, have no purpose, nothing.

You shouldn't demotivate people(and their characters) with courage, independence and enterpreneurship to refuse to join a guild but instead go in the more challenging task of opening their own businesses, except if you have monopolistic interests behind your back.

I say: Good Luck! I also never joined an outside guild with my main characters, but instead worked my way in PS independently and leaded them slowly to the path of founding their own organizations(although the first one now is pretty dead, and the second is the one Annera founded). Just I recommend patience if you wish to found a guild, it may take months to find the proper people if you don't want to mass-recruit "leets", but it is always much better than mass-recruitment. And perhaps you could go to expand the already existing background of it.

I'm just trying to encourage people to participate in a community and learn what is needed before going off and wanting to be a leading individual in that community, if I had monopolistic ideas I would have shamelessly advertized :P

We can't all be leaders .. less we only want to lead ourselves.
