Socii Acerbus Socii Lux

Who hasn’t dreamed of a perfect world? Everybody has!
The way it will become prefect in Yliakum and how it’s maintained that’s more of an Opinion issue.
All guilds Amorelt has seen in his life strive to a prefect Yliakum, shaped to their Idea’s of perfection.
None seemed to be suited for everyone, So if one guild was happy, others weren’t.
Not only the other guilds, but also the members  and the normal people.
Members…. Members, Leaders…. All normal persons.
Of course follows the question: “How to make a guild where everybody with different Idea’s can work together?”
Dilemma! One want’s Enkidukais as slave, the other wants Liquor coming out of the fountain, Ulber farming, Peace, war, world domination, Chaos, Order! You name it and people want it.

As everyone he witnessed the coming and going of many guilds… Sadly also one of his moist dear ones, The Disciples of Darkness.
But time didn’t stop when the Disciples of Darkness went down, and with the flowing of time things change.
Amorelt’s vision on life changed. When everybody strives for her/his own goals, goals which can be the total opposite of what one other wants, and someone has got the be to one who gives in.
As Amorelt knows of himself compromises are only good in small matters, not in great ones and certainly not in life goals.

For everyone who couldn’t have done so, we will (try to) make it possible to be able to reach their goals. We give them a change, we can help, or they can join.

Amorelt smiles when thinks about it, a guild that doesn’t serves good or evil, just the hurt, not Chaos or order, just the hurt.  A guild who bring chaos to order, order to chaos, good in evil and evil in good. A guild who takes care of their members but also asks discipline in return.

But as everyone sometimes dreams of something, it doesn’t go as planned right away. First of all he needed co-founders, and of course a name…
After searching long days he finally found four others willing to help found and support the guild. The first name that came in Amorelts thoughts was the "Disciples of Darkness" but as he has heard the guild was again active it would be fair to have two guilds around with the same name but different goals.
Dallara came with the solution, : "Socii Acerbus Socii Lux" a name with origins in long forgotten languages but still said what we werew "Friends of Light, Friends of Darkness"

Goal(s):

It was hard to formulate the exact goal(s), if you don't understand please ask about the thing you don't understand about it, but they tried:
We give people changes, to do thing they never could do on their own for some reason.Therefor as member you will get the full support of the guild for all your action, unless (especially the big action) aren't first discussed with the guild. But not only do we help our members achieving their goals, outsiders who are willing to pay a price in anyway to the guild can count on their services. As guild we don't look upon things with your own emotions, we look upon things as necessary and possible, or of course their opposites. To reaches this "goal" all members have to respect one another, especially the ones higher in the ranks. Remember We are not a Chaotic, Evil, Good nor a for order striving Guild. We are Neutral, and pure neutral we take on are tasks.   

Ranks:

1 Rebel
As Rebel you just joined the Soii Acerbus Socii Lux, you think you fit in our guild, and because you were invited we think the same.
But as everyone we also can make mistakes, as rebel we all keep an eye on you to see if you handle thing accordingly. Don't see this as a time to be all nice and such, just be yourself, because in the end you are yourself and we are we neither can be changed. If we think you handle yourself good, and fit in with us you can choose your way within our guild, you can choose to be Sneak Warrior or Warrior 

2 Sneak Warrior
As Sneak Warrior you want to be good at gathering information, mostly valuable information needed to accomplish certain goals. You learn here what it means to shadow someone, to learn the shadowed one it's routines and how follow him/her when they are on their way.

3 Warrior
As a Warrior you want to become a fearless fighter, you want to learn how to kill creatures, maybe how to duel. But also to control your aggressive impulses. Because with the power you gain you also have to gain responsibility, else you're nothing but a brutal killing machine with no ethics. What those ethics are you have to decide for yourself of course.

4 Revolutionary
When you are promoted to the rank of Revolutionary you not only pledged your loyalty to the guild but also mastered either the "Warrior" or "Sneak Warrior" rank. As Revolutionary you keeping doing whatever previous rank you were, only with some more privileges. Or you can choose to try to master the other rank as well. Until we think it's time you can choose between Spy and Death warrior (You do however need have mastered the Sneak warrior rank before you can go to Spy and Warrior before you can go to Death warrior)

5 Spy
As spy you already mastered your Sneak warrior rank, and are ready to learn more. In fact this rank is the same as Sneak warrior only you have permission to get our guild involved in matters when you think it's suitable. (If the situation rises that you have made a wrong decision You'll be held responsible and the guild will vote over your faith). Also are you higher in Rank then the Sneak Warriors, Warriors and the Revolutionaries. So you can order them to help you (Only if they can).


6 Death warrior
As Death Warrior you already mastered your Warrior rank, and are ready to learn more. In fact this rank is the same as Warrior only you have permission to get our guild involved in matters when you think it's suitable. (If the situation rises that you have made a wrong decision You'll be held responsible and the guild will vote over your faith). Also are you higher in Rank then the Sneak Warriors, Warriors and the Revolutionaries. So you can order them to help you (Only if they can).

7 Light Core
As a Light Core member you have chosen to devote your further guild life to be on the ‘good’ side of matters the involve the guild, Also you have all the Ranks beneath you to Order and give directions. As a person you can still be ‘evil’ or whatever your char is in your eyes, but when it comes to Guild matters/jobs you’ll be on the ‘goodie’ side.

8 Black core
As a Black Core member you have chosen to devote your further guild life to be on the ‘bad’ side of matters the involve the guild, Also you have all the Ranks beneath you to Order and give directions. As a person you can still be ‘good’ or whatever your char is in your eyes, but when it comes to Guild matters/jobs you’ll be on the ‘baddie’ side.

9 Head of Cores
The Head of Cores guides the whole guild, but as well keeps the Black and Light core in touch with each other. When it come to Big decisions, for both the guild as well as only the cores (or one of them), The Head of Cores must be consulted. Also Only the Head of Cores can kick out members.
The Head of Cores must always be obeyed [It’s not like the Head of Cores is some sort of fascist dictator, he won’t be making decisions about everything you do, but this regards mostly urgent matters and tens moments for the Guild where decisions have to be made, you can think of which side to join in a war, what to do if both the Light and Black Core are involved in a matter and are working against each other ect. ect.]
If it comes to voting about certain things the vote of the Head of Cores always counts twice, and only the Head of Cores, or someone with permission can start a guild voting [mostly held on the forum].

And just to make it Clear, the Warrior and Sneak warrior Ranks are equal, as are the Death Warrior and Spy Ranks and the Light and Black Core ranks

As they founded the guild they agreed of some rules to keep the new founded guild running smooth:

- Do not dishonor out guild, or your fellow members.
- Do not involve the guild in your personal life problems, unless the guild has agreed.
- Never decline a challenge (if it’s about guild related matters), and don’t yield. If you see necessary you may ask for help of course, that’s what the guild is about.
- We try not to ask other guilds for help without a voting (Members of other guild may be asked, but not as a part of that guild)
- If someone dishonors out guild, or you for being part of our guild, We as guild support you to punish that certain person in anyway you seems suited.
- Respect the ones in the rank above you, they deserved it, and in time you’ll too
- Do not give out information to ANYONE but fellow guild members that can get our guild into trouble.
- We are proud of our guild, we’ll never deny  being part of our guild. We may wear our sign [The word SASL or sAsL] anywhere, but we may also choose not to, as long as we don’t deny being part of out guild.

-   Don’t challenge anyone EVER without PROPER RP reasons
-   Use ][ for OOC chat and keep smiley’s to a minimum
-   We consider Guildchat mostly OOC, except there might be one or two exceptions, but we'll handle those when we come across them
-   As guild to run smoothly we prefer you to speak english, this doesn't have to be of super quality (Else how can I be leader?) But it would be nice if you understood us and we you, Of course we can always help with language problems, but 'basic-English' is recommend]

  Dallara, always eager to get new recruits, and yes we're planning a recruitment day soon, unfortunately I have to admit there there are at this point 0 join requests at our forum 

But as we sail on over the big sea of creating an successful guild, we have decided to take an website in considering, and we are working on a better explanation of the guild to the public Also note that the beginning post of this thread is been and will be changed with minor updates, but as this can't be seen just be sure to check this thread regularly.

Also I would like to thank for all the guild critics around for not making useless comments like "just another normal guild to me, sighs, where to find good evil these days"  Because we aren't evil nor good

Just wondering if you have permition from the previous leader of DoD to use the name or if you are just loosly tied to the guild and now using its name becuase it sounded like a nice name. Don't remember seeing you as a member. Now most were inactive so that might not mean much but still this post doesn't sound much like the previous DoD.

Ehh First of, The "Black core" is like the guilds Council, only with another name So no 'organization', I'm leader of it to keep the discussions heated, but not to heated and the quality high, like I would say to you if this was a black core meeting: "Please don't talk like you know so much... Just  zip it! Till you actually know something  "

About the rebel part,

A guild who bring chaos to order, order to chaos, good in evil and evil in good.

So you can say 'We' are not to be put in one box as the most people do, So you can say we rebel against the most thoughts on good/evil and such. And as a new member you think you are, therefor a rebel... And it gives more of a family feeling the being called "Newbie, newly joined, neothingie and so on"

I tried to get permission I mailed him a couple of times (E-mail address was in his PS forum profile  ) In February I mail every week once, but after a month of no responses I gave up and started working on my own  If he for some reason reappears, I would (If he demands it) unhappily change the name of course

How rude, assuming things without asking? and then with your assumptions, say we are not original!?... oke the Guilds name isn't really, but with reason.
We Did NOT took our name for looking at the name of the organization you mentioned, we didn't even know it existsed.
We thought it was fairly easy to see why our council is called the black core. The council of a Guild is (to us) The 'Core' of the guild, without it the guild wouldn't exist (well it could, but then it would be a Dictator guild I think, again I THINK. Before you get more assumptions).
As you might know, if it gets really dark everything looks black. So you can say the Core of darkness is black. Now Black + Core = Black Core. So it's a reference to both our name and the necessity to our Guild.
Then I am curious, Since when is a sun black? and as far as i know there is no Sun in PS, well there is but we as people living in that ( gosh I forot the word) cave like hanging thingie can't see that sun, only the light of it comming through the crystal 

As for the rebel part, I think dallara has covert that part.

  That's why i put it in {}, without those you would be even more confused i think you could think it's the old thread or something like that, and if I remember correct, the old name of the old DoD was also in game "The Disciples of Darkness" we are "Disciples of Darkness" , we apologize for the inconveniences we brought and will bring (hopefully not) with choosing this name  but a most things in live you just gotta deal with them, but I do wish you luck with them!

Sadly (only fr the guilds name sadly ) The old owner of the DoD has started just playing PS again and saw this thread, He didn't responded earlier because his E-mail was changed So hereby We apologize and we changed our name as he wanted... We also apologize o all the people who are now (going to be) very confused with all this!
Of course we wish the "Real" DoD reborn much luck!  Updates on our new forum and such will follow soon!

Thanks to Dallara's  We have a new forum again  {although not completely finished  )
Because of this  there could a a bit of a delay on recruiting replies as we work hard on it! But next week both Dallara and Amorelt have an school exam week so they are (hopefully) studying hard on that! Therefor I got the permission to speak out for the whole guild, (yes that also includes the Black core section)
And again apologize for the confusion we spread 

Edit: We know we know, Amorelt didn't explain the Black core thingie completly! We have a Light and a Black core, both for certain alignment tasks, The light is for the this most will subscribe as 'Goodie stuff" and the Black core is for the "Baddy Stuff". We hoped of bringing  on the entire ranking system, but because of the current situation it can take a couple of days! please wait patiently  Thanks in advance
