Can't run the installer
« on: March 09, 2003, 09:15:58 pm »
Ok, I got all the parts of the game and got the reassembler too.  I run the reassembler and then I click on the installer then it says to me \"can not run beacause it is incompleate or currupt.\"  Can some one tell me how I fix this?

Potential Download Problems?

Nevertheless, to verify you have correctly downloaded your parts, create a .bat file with the following in it:
Quote

md5sum PSV0.2.006.Part1
md5sum PSV0.2.006.Part2
md5sum PSV0.2.006.Part3
md5sum PSV0.2.006.Part4
md5sum PSV0.2.006.Part5

Run it in a DOS box (I can\'t tell how to manage with a XP or 2000, if someone can help...)
And then compare to the md5 number given in the download page:
Quote

PSV0.2.006.Part1: 2fb4174214438fc20628058ca81f520d
PSV0.2.006.Part2: 4b97e82aadfcecb0d41567edacdd4c55
PSV0.2.006.Part3: 76c7fadaa5192a48f5dc94f6073888bf
PSV0.2.006.Part4: 113daea1e81c78e82e81e62aebeaac51
PSV0.2.006.Part5: aa13bef7c7fb69aef1611f65c20f8ce2

They must be identical. If not, reload the part that doesn\'t fit and retry until you get identicals numbers.

It\'s quite simple, isn\'t it?

The .bat can be improved, if someone know more about batch programming, he\'s welcome!
