Active Magic Screen (AMS)

This seems to be a good idea although I think it still needs work. Here is an example of what I mean: If you look at it you can see that at 1024x768 it takes up a lot of screen and does not seem to be resizable. Still not too bad. Now click on the picture for the full size screenshot.

Do you see anything wrong here? I'll go ahead and tell you what to look for. 1. defensive wind cast at the top of the chat window disappeared out of the active magic window when the rock armor disappeared 6 lines later. The flame spire never showed up in the AMS although it seems to me it belongs there. So still some issues to work out.

I am thinking that instead of a list of names perhaps a set of icons would suffice with mouseover detail.

lol ;P
You mean something like this? :

It only doesn't show up tooltip if the spell name, because it doesn't orginally and you can't do it in xml only.

Everybody: If you wan't to install it and don't know how, what, where, then ask.
Devs: If you are interested with it, i'm there all the time, waiting ;)

And yeah, The AMS is buggy.
  • There is even bug on the screenshot. It has something to do with "defensive wind" looking same as "rocky armor", after one of them was casted, or maybe expired. There certainly was a bug. (i don't know if it is fixed already)
  • It is also true more recent spells don't show up there. like the "flame spire". Problem is, the AMS just isn't updated, similiar to the helpwindow being outdated in some areas too.
  • More spells should be there too. Like life infusion. Beause it isn't right that it happens instantly.

Actually defensive wind was there along with the armor before the rock armor lapsed. When that happened the defensive wind listing disappeared instead of the rock armor still listed as simply 'armor'. I am pretty sure it is meant to be a listing  of modifications that affect your character as there is the buff and debuff sides. The flame spire is debatable as it does not really affect you, it affects opponents in your sphere of influence. I am not certain life infusion belongs either as while it increases your ability to take damage it does not extend it beyond your base. In other words it only adds hit points if you are missing some and does not give bonus ones.

* Nikodemus looks at the thread, then kicks it.
How come it died so fast?
I mean, people are capable of complaining about sometimes idiotic things, but looks like no one care about GUI anymore. I suppose everyone loves the huge window is it is now ;D
