alternate forum accounts

Is there any policy that would prohibit me from using alternate accounts to effectively talk to myself in order to keep reviving threads past their "best before" dates? I am just asking because it would be painfully obvious to a moderator if I were to do so unless I used the onion router (tor) or some other anonymizing web tool. I do not really intend to do so but I am curious.

A few people have alternate usernames they use from time to time.

But it really doesn't matter if you use a different name or the same to reply to an older thread.  If it has content and adds to the discussion, fine.  Else, delete button.

Ah but it might cause the appearance of interest in an otherwise dead thread. In turn it might add credibility to an otherwise negligible idea. It might please me to rope in some innocent bystanders to support my original position. Then again it might be all in my head :insert madman smiley here:

IP addresses are only visible to forum administrators, not moderators. We only have 3 admins, and they have better things to do than scan the forum for alts. So basically Neko's reply stands - if a post adds something useful, it remains. If it doesn't, it gets deleted, alt account or no :)
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.
