Problems Connecting To The Game Server

Dear And Beloved PlaneShift Players, Iv'e recenctly downloaded the latest (0.3.018) version of PlaneShift for Windows Platform, and I'm having a realy hard time connecting to the game server allthough it's online.
Iv'e Uploaded an image Descrbing My Problem :



Left Side : Server Status While I'm Not Able To Connect -at all- .
Right Side : Some Kind Of Wierd (at least to me) Server Status, as you can, some numbers and some kind of precentage appear by the server's name. I have no Idea what it actually does, but I've been able to connect for a short period of time (I was kick out On Behalf Of typing the wrong password - tough I'm sure that I've Logged in with the correct password) while the precentage was above 80%.

BTW - My Updater Can't connect to anything either.

If someone could help me out with this problem of mine I'd be greatful.

*Just so you know.. I have Tried Totaly Disabling my Firewall.. Quiting it.. and came to the verge of uninstalling it.. The Server Status is the same .. Not concerning the firewall.

first, I think you need to learn your left from your right

You should be able to connect as long as the server shows a percentage, not sure what this means myself either but the lower the better I think because mines always much higher than that.

I think I have this figured out
the numbers are devided into 2 parts
1 part are the precents - mine shows 85 it think
second part is ping/latency or whatever

BTW - I do know where's left and where's right.. I just didn't realy know whick pic is where, I was writing the post not looking at the pic, and that's why it's mixed up.

It also does that with me, I normally just keep clicking until I get in, normally works on the 3rd or 4th try

I'm using a Router as a modem.. router options are disabled.

Now I Have Another In Game Problem.. I can't make a charecter becaus I can't choose my parents Job because they have no options.
I think I'll Ask it in the In game support.

they should pop up if you wait a little. Your connection seems like it may be having stability problems mate.

Well I did consider this option.. I have a DSL connection, and my internet and AIM programs are all connected 24/7, but I actualy realy don't know about the stability of my connection.

I am having the very same issue with the Updater.
I downloaded and re-downloaded the PS Download file for Windows from 3 of the download sources provided on your page. Having tried one at a time several times over a span of hours I would uninstall and reinstall a new download for Windows only to receive the very same problems. The Updater says it cannot connect to any of it's sources including mirror sites, then says 'ran out of mirror sites'.

I would very much like to be able to join this game as I've somehow been able to actually create a character, but have yet to be able to connect and use the Updater to actually enter the game with her.

Help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

dont run the updater just download and install the client

The installer saying "Recommended, update the game!" at the end isn't quite helping.

About the weird numbers in the login screen, I am pretty sure its the ping result, so your appropriate ping was 569. And the 85% could be the stability of your connection. However, I suggest you to ping the server 'laanx.fragnetics.com' via terminal/console with a command that stops after sending 10 packages, if you wish to test your connection. On linux/ubuntu it would look like this: ping laanx.fragnetics.com -c 10. That would ping the server 10 times and after that you could see how stable the connection is by looking at the package loss. Im not sure about what command to use on windows though.

The client will not run as I am being given a messages saying that I need to run the Updater first.

That's because you used the updater in the first place.
The updater currently has an old version on it, so using the updater would actually de-update you.
So reinstall the game and don't use the updater.

Thank you, that worked! I actually got in, but now will have to look for help on how to change the windowed game to full screen
