You get money by doing jobs, ask in-game for specifics.
You fight by clicking on a monster and pressing one of the attack stance buttons: "agressive", "normal", "defensive" etc.
You chat by clicking in the chat window, typing, and pressing enter.

For more information on everything else: there's a "Help" tab in the chat window where you can ask more questions.
And as always: communicate with fellow players! But when you go Out Of Character "How do I attack! etc" use brackets.
