MMORPGs are the predecessors of a potential Matrix!
Grinding and levelling among most common MMO(RP?)G gameplay systems are wastes of time, I would rather play a much more fun soccer game(not computer games that suck like FIFA series, I mean the RL one) to after a year of 3 soccer games per week boost significantly my STR, AGI and END, make more friends to develop more my CHA and social skills and play some truly mind-challenging games(Computer AIs are dumb) to sharpen my INT.

grinding, farming and treadmilling aren't the only things available in PS. Still...
Reality predates the delusions... offers larger challenges, and true rewards that are not just the graphical intepretation of 0's and 1's in a computer screen.
P.S.: I disagree with the article on Wiki, as for me the
idea of having a designed in-game aspect which requires a player to not be entertained for a period of time is contradictory.
