Congrats on the event everyone, hopefully the first of many more to follow ... now since this is a settingschanging event maybe a brief summary of what exactly changed for those of us who couldn't participate? I'm sure that gossip or tales of such a major event spread like the wind and reach the ears of all of our characters.

I don't think anything has changed. I still think that

Code: [Select]
Settings = Written on Stone
Go from point a to b using way x

Now add some complexity to the process, but keep its linearity and you got something fun, but not so much.

Too bad the Yliakum Liberation Front is dead :(, it could have been interesting if they were larger, powerful and participated on such event

The event was great!

Most of them happened at a bad time for me though (lasst one took till 3AM for me.. and that before a monday). Nonetheless, I'm glad that I didn't miss it.
I do understand that it's hard to organise so many people (GM's/Dev's) being available at the same time as well.

I also liked that some players tried not to follow the (probably) prepared path of the event but tried to solve things differently.

I tried to join in when i ran into it down in the dungeons, however the gm guy att decided that my two lines wasnt  "cool" enough and threw me into dr :( meh..
Well, this for example was a prepared path.  ;) I tried not to follow it and got into the DR a 2nd time. It had nothing to do with coolness.. he just was too powerful for us to handle and started to get annoyed by us little nuisances :P

So, a great thank to all the GM's and Dev's who made that event possible and for all the great work they did!
Also great thanks to all the players who made the event enjoyable. (not only those who helped Eldoreth :D )

...hmm something more to say.. *falls asleep at his desk* ..oh well,.. there's work to do

[edit:
And thanks to Shalier, I can present you some screenshots as well:

I apologize if the context was not clear.  I believe that most of the players down there knew what they were getting into  by that point, but due to the large number of players involved, it was not possible for me to keep track of who had seen what.  It was completely in character for me to do what I did, but I am sorry if it prevented you from enjoying this event.

Exactly, thank you for understanding.  I believe that most of those I teleported knew it was likely and accepted the risk.

That was an indirect question  ;)
In which way did the settings change?

I can give you a hint, it had something to do with the Derghirs. Peraps it was a new race, that might get implemented soon.

{remove if spoiler)

If you wish to know about them, There is a book about them in Joyasa's(sp :P) library. As far as i have read, i can only gather that they plan on destroying Hyldaa and all of its ppl. We will have to move underwater as they can not survive underwater. THUS the Galkards were put into the game :) I also found the npc that i beleave wrote the books, or at the very least read them and took them literal :D

Well my post is a really late one. But I had some difficulty logging into the forums until i got advice in the IRC channel  :) . Yeah i still remember this event. I am lucky to have been in all its episodes. The big 4 and the smaller ones in between. I must congragulate the GM and Dev teams on this. 'Roofwalker ' was great (my first all participation event). I learnt how to RP then by watching others do it. And the shields of Eldoreth was amazing. It had a good story line, had different stories to intrest different players- adventure, romance, intrigue, negotiation, fighting, magic, teleportation to name a few, all spread over many episodes. A most memorable event and I wish to thank all the GMs and devs involved directly -acting and storywriting, and as support during this event. The coordination must have been a major pain  ;D ...and i am thankful you guys stuck by it and made it happen. I also want to thank a lot of the players in these events ...firstly in "roofwalker" for helping me appreciate RP in the game...and secondly in 'shields of eldoreth' as they were supportive and gave constructive criticism to my RP  :) . The RP community in PS was most entertaining with their imaginative, creative role playing in these events . Thank you all. \\o//   :flowers:
