Ok, i would first like to say that the system I am running right now is only temporary until I get my new computer built (buiding myself) which will have an NVIDIA 256Mb Graphics card, be fully 64 Bit with an AMD dual core processor (each core running at 2.6 GHz) and 2Gb of Ram (have all the parts, just haven't had time to put to gether) running Vista Home Preimium. (Which brings up a second question: will Planeshift work in Vista 64-bit?). Anyway, when I try to run the game in Fedora Core 6, I get frame by frame flashes, where the screen goes black, then display's the frame, and this happens rapidly. I have checked to make sure all my drivers are the right ones and up to date, they are. I have also tried changing my screen resolution and my Refresh Rate. Nothing fixes it. Here are my specs for this PC

OS: Fedora Core 6 (fully updated)
Processor: Intel Celeron D 2.6 GHz
RAM: 512Mb
Brand: Custom Built (by me a couple of years ago)
Graphics: Intel on board 64Mb Chip, (Intel eXtream Graphics 2 chip)

Any help would be apreciated. Thank you ~ Crashedata

The only thing extream about this type of graphics processing is average 2 frames a second it puts out for any 3d game you play.

It appears you may have to wait. You might want to try running the ps setup program and turning every graphic feature to its least taxing value but even that might not help much.

That card will run PS correctly with decent performance.  My wife's laptop has a similar chip, also with 64 megs 32 builtin + 32 system ram, and until the last version of PS, it ran smoothly except in the BD region.  The last update 0.018 does the same thing and I can't seem to fix it.  Black flashes, etc.  But in the time between the black flashes I can see that it is running ok.  Its very strange, and I'm sorry I haven't figured out how to fix it just yet.

Yes, it runs fine.

ok, just one more question. I know I managed to pull this of when I was running XP, but I don't know how in Linux. I managed to increase the amount of my RAM being devoted to my graphics chip from 64 to 128. I think I did this in the bios, but I can't remember. Would it still be possible to do that in Linux?

NVM! I got it working, simply by changing my colors from Millions to Thousands on my computer. Tyvm to all that tried to help. It was appreciated. If you want to talk to me in game, my main character name is the same as my forums name.
