Typically in past updates, they don't us anything really becuase they are evil and like us to wait in suspense.   

Sooooo, other than the changelog and rumors, guess you'll just have to wait.  Or marry a dev and force them to give you the inside scoop.   

My friends are bugging my alot so i have to ask why i cant get on.i have the windos version. i think i read something about an update, and if thats the reason i cant get on then could you tell me when its going to be done?

currently ,it seems a least 2 Devs are working on it, 'cause I see there are 2 people are ingame. it's been 5 days that they are resolving the problems, I think it will be done before this weekend. because there will be more Devs are off from their real jobs, and take care about this hobby one.

There have been some issues with the inventory system causing the server to crash.  We have identified most of those now and are working to resolve them.

All you people wondering when PS will be back up:

Take it from me (I've been through 6 or 7 updates which isn't that many); these things may take upwards of two weeks before you're allowed back in game.  And when you do get in, it will probably still be unstable for the next few days with lots of server outages.  And even then, there may be yet another release if the problem is major.  I don't want to go through all the things that have happened in the past, but expect to wait and then expect an unstable server and you won't be disappointed.

In the meantime, log onto irc.freenode.org #planeshift and complain with the rest of us...

it says that there is a person online in the game and i read that if it says 1 or higher thats the sever is up. so why is it still saying "failed" by the sever name?

Because people with the necessary authorization are testing bugs. Normal players can't access Laanx yet.

It could take you days to finish unfinished quests. Moreover, you can continue them after the update. It doesn't affect your quest history.

And when you really think about it, what do you want more: ores, or a new client with a ton of cool stuff you haven't had before? I think the small sacrifice may be worth it.

Aw wow this totally sucks for me 

I just found out about this game yesterday, registered, downloaded it, and couldn't get on. And so I gotta wait for the new build now? And on top of it all I have to wait and extra few days for the mac version because I run a mac? Damn    What a buzzkill.

I know thats what i did i use to play this game back in 200 or somthing. back when there was only like 2 or 3 towns. i download it agian to see the new stuff on the 9th and i am waiting for them to get it done too. I am sure it will be a great update.
