New client?
« on: May 08, 2007, 12:11:28 am »
Sorry to bug anyone, but I just discovered the game and it looks great and sounds fun for such a small download, so I figured I'd try it out. Only problem is, I noticed on the website that a new client is coming out... does this mean a completely new download? I'm on dial-up so I don't want to download from the current link if I have to just download a new one a couple days later. Or is it just an update through an autopatcher? If it's a completely new client that I'll have to download, I guess I'll wait a couple days for it... Thanks for the help :)

I'm in the same boat you are in pal.

I came across PlaneShift yesterday (in my search for a mac MMO) and found that the server was down. Since then all I've been doing is reading the site and forums... I'd suggest the same at this point, since it'll help later when you get the game and keep you interested till its open again. It'll probably take the development team more then just a day. This is because of a bug in the inventory system of the new client (or so I've heard). If you want to talk to another PS noob I can private message you my msn/yahoo addy. =P
