Is updater supposed to behave this way?

I know the situation is the same as some others, but I fear that it might screw up my client...

Naturally, I head for the updater to patch, but then every mirror lacks a version.  Sure, same thing as the others.  However, when I try it on my laptop, the updater blue bar fills a few time at 1.0 kb/s.  This did not happen on my desktop.  At first, my computer didn't say anything when I was playing, but then when I entered the character select screen, the message "Please run the updater for the latest version" pops up, but I am still able to play.  I do not know if this is part of the problem, but when I fight rats, they just stand there and let me slaughter them.  I was absent for a LONG time, so I also want to ask if it was a change.  Can someone help me figure out if the game is still safe?  Thanks.

Check the Install Instructions thread - the updater has nothing new to download for you if you have the .018 release. I'm not entirely sure what the updater may be fetching for you, but perhaps you have just a couple of files that need changes on your laptop.

When it comes to NPCs not responding, that's something server-side. The NPCclient that controls them may be down - are they regular rats, or new Wrathrats? If it's the latter, they may need their skills updated.

Just normal rats.  They used to be more aggressive, but then again, as I stated earlier, I've been absent for a while.

Could be that NPCclient just needs a restart It's been in a finicky phase lately. Nothing wrong with your client.

I'm guessing it's finnicky because of the upcoming client 019?

Yeah. I have that same problem.. Except.. Without the laptop part. The updater looks like this..

I was wondering how much longer I (and a bunch of others) have to wait for a server. I wanted to play this game. But I have to wait..

War In Silence, please read the thread I linked to earlier. The updater has nothing new to download for you. You are able to login to the game without running it - if something is preventing you from doing so, it is a separate issue.

Is the server coming up as "Failed" in the client?

I have a similar problem too

When I open the updater and click on update tells me that it can't connect to server 2 and the other 3 servers tells me that happends an error so I can't use the updater

Is it my problem?? what must I do??
