Here is a clarification of events that lead up to this.
1. This was the 2nd character I created. From the first One I knew I could get some tria from
an NPC to buy weapons be delivering a message to the commander of the Sunshine Guard
at the BD Fortress.
2. I created my new character, completed this quest(don't want to give it away to new players)
got my tria and went to see Harn for a weapon.
3. I got to Harn's asked for a quest and bought a sword. I don't remember which came first.
Harn gave me the wrong quest, but I didn't know it at the time or I would have stopped and
asked for help then.
The quest Harn gave me was the "Learning Sword Making". He should have given me
"Learning Metal Working", that's the problem. I have not completed the Sword Making Quest.
I never did the "Learning Metal Working Quest"( To be sure I looked in Completed Quests, not there)
never got the book, and never learned the book. I should not be able to refine ore or cast stock, but
I CAN and HAVE DONE SO, several times to make sure. How is this possible.
I should just for testing purposes see if I can make steel, even though my Metallurgy Level is still 0
Of course I shouldn't be able to, but I shouldn't be able to refine iron ore, but I can.
As for not reading the server MOTD, during the time I have been a player I have read them everyday
the MOTD during my time in the game (11 days), sine May 14th, have told players to stay away from
the BDroad area because a lot of players have been crashing there. During that time I did ask other
NPC's for quests, some I could complete quickly, until a GM sent me a message that it was best if
I limit my quests to about 2. After that I have not taken on any others and have been doing my
best to clean out what I have.
BTY - Since this is a game in Alpha testing. Someone, not me(I've played 11 days and may have to
delete my character and start over(for the 2nd time since alpha testing for you), someone
should create a new character and go through the steps I've listed above and see if the
problem is repeatable. You might prove my point, get the logic in the game fixed. But you
probably won't be able to help me. I know you try, but a nice BIG warning to people considering
downloading the game. It is not a regular game, you will be alpha testing, and may, because of
problems with the game, as coded, might occationally run into a problem with your character
that can't be solved and have to start over. This may be day 1, or after playing for for a month
or more, who knows, and all the time you've spent on your character will be lost !
I hope that I haven't violated any forum rules with this aside. If you delete my post because
of it you are not being helpful and you'll show us you are willing to forgo the helping of an individual
for the sake of putting a "happy face" on the game and hiding the current reality. I know this is
untrue, am I right?
