Anyways I heard about the game having riding animals. Since the ones they have all seem like they are flying-type animals, I got a REALLY freaked up image in my head.

There's also the rivnak, which is tentatively a woolly animal similar to a llama or large ridable sheep. Not all flying-type.

The GIMP website, nor software, has no viruses :)

Unlike what Karyuus double negation suggests, according to my virusscanning software (which rates websites according to virus alarms), there really are no viruses on the website :)

Excellent, you've trained on the shades. They came out very well! It seems you have a nack for gradiating also, well done. Keep on working on that and be sure to look in some anatomy books, it's always good to refresh your memory on human anatomy. I always strive to make my works as realistic as possible, and a good basis to making good works is training on copying nature and, later, settling on a style you like.

You indeed have a knack for making something beautiful, and I like that :)

Two tips to make the second picture look nicer:
1)Make the eyes with the black center.Just like every humans eye.
2)Work on the right eyebrow.Right now it looks at if someone shaved her in her sleep as a prank.(No offense)

Well, the pupilless eyes give a non-human look, and it is the god Laanx, so it is as she wants. However, from an anatomical point of view, it makes the eyes useless since they aren't any pupils to let the light enter and project itself on the retina.

Anyway,  I find the eyelids a bit too artificial, especially in the second picture. They are way to defined. If you look at someone, you generally can't see a distinct line between the rest of the face and the eyelids, at least not as much as with the lips for example.

Except for that, great drawing!

thanks! I wish I had an anatomy book.  X-/ Oh well. internet is awesome! Ya I didn't really like the way the second picture turned out either. And the eyebrow is sopposed to look that way  ;D It's when Talad made Laanx get all deformed. Sorry. I'll go work out the second one if I can. But like I said earlier, I have finals this week. I can try to fix it in my spare time. Please just keep in  mind I'm not a 20 year old proffesional artist .  :(  I've never had lessons or anything (going to change this summer though! ) All the "experience"I have is from looking at other artists' methods and doing my "best". sorry about bother you all . I wont bother you again.  :) Thanks for all who commented though.  :woot: Meet me if you want. (my character's name is Sahra).

sorry about bother you all .

I really hope you didn't mean that X-/ Laanx became a man when she was 'deformed' but i see where you are coming from with the veins and that.

Hefemale?  ::|

Good drawing, however the race of Drizzt doesn't exist in Planeshift, because it has some resemblance to a drow.

Oh hey everybody. Sorry about being so mad earlier. It's just that I'm a pretty sensitive person. For those that didn't like my previous pictures, this one's for you. :). It didn't turn out as good as I wanted, but my goal was to try to be a bit more realistic. As for Laanx's gender, I'm not sure. But from what I read and have heard, she decides to become a male. Not saying that I know for sure, but that's just what I've read. Anywho, this one took me 2 hours. yay.

Try using your finger to smudge the graphite around the nose shadows... and those lips are bugging me. But I still think its great, however, your not on commission so don't worry about what other people want to see in your art, enjoy yourself! so less of the 's eeh?

I'm not sure what you're seeing, Feline. I agree that the nose requires gradiating which can be dealt with with the former method. I've never understood why you blur it out with your hands when a pen can be used to the same effect.

The only critique I could give you is that the underlip might look a bit too big.

Study people, they're living anatomical encyclopedias just waiting to be studied, study yourself :] If you want to, try a full body picture.
Don't worry, Sahra. I, and many others, have never studied at a art school before. :)
I know it is hard with criticism in the beginning, i'm not asking you to follow every single one of them. My advice is see them as shortcuts and pick the ones you like.
