Game crashed... Why?

I started playing around a year ago, but about a month or two after installing the game, when I was playing, it crashed. so I launched it again but could not connect to the game. So there I checked my connection, rebooted my comp, but nothing. So I waited like a whole week and tried again (cause it might have been the server) and still nothing.

So like around 8 months later, (today) I reinstalled the game, but I fear that it does the same. What should I do to prevent that to happen?

Make sure that you have version 0.3.018, first, and second - it looks like the server has been acting up for most of yesterday and into today. There's some problem our server/engine devs have to look into, and hopefully they'll do it as soon as they're around.

Unfortunately I don't have any ETA, sorry..! None of the people who could take a look into this issue are around, and since we're here whenever we have free time, I can't predict when I will see them. Definitely some time today, however.

It's quite odd though, the server seemed to stabilize completely around 1:00AM this morning, and it's been quite stable since I got on at around 10, then I went to sleep again, got back on at 12, it crashed shortly after. And it's been down since. Aren't the blue names in the forums devs? They can look into it right?...

Oh, that sucks. Seeing as how they work on the game I think it would make sense for them to at least be able to restart if they're testing something.

Game Masters are more in-game moderators and eventers. Green are developers. Xillix was trying to fix the problem, but there's was trouble with the web console earlier. Should be all set now. The server might reboot on its own, and then hopefully everything will be stable again.

Oh. I thought it was a devs are automatically game masters sort of thing. How come we don't see so much of the devs then? I know moderating is hard, but I don't see them online to much. Rennaj is on a decent bit I'd say though. It'd be cool if we had like an event every two days. Just my opinion. Then again seeing as how the game's still alpha and there's bugs left and right and people disobeying the rules etc etc I'm sure, I guess I shouldn't expect too much.

The devs are people who work on the game - write the code, create the art, NPC quests, etc. Game Masters are the people who take care of problems between players, run events, etc. And they are around a lot, although they are from different time zones so you may not see them all together unless it's for a big event.

Events do happen very often, both small and large. But again remember that everyone is a volunteer, so our amount of free time fluctuates every now and then. One month there can be several events every week, and the next less.
