The zip file is 2 kb larger than the original and I only edited the air glyph, no azure way glyphs appear in game so it must be something to do with the zip file unless the .spr file needs to be updated to reflect the changed air glyph. All the same when I open the original zip file in my file manager (konqueror) I get to see the actual thumbnails, when I open mine I get generic thumbs.

The only way the .spr file would need updated is if you changed the name of the texture.  Its probably just a difference in the way it was saved.

Well RL calls. I'll have to let it go for a couple hours. I'll check back when I return.

I figured it out, my zip file has an unneeded directory structure.
