Kill stealing:
You don't own mob, if you are camping it... If someone is faster than you, what the hell. There is no KSing in game atm, you can't KS atm. If somene is taking your mob, you should try to roleplay it, challange him, be faster than he or just leave. Until you hit mob anyone can take it, if you hit him once an than leave for min, anyone can take him > that's not KSing. Ksing is if someone takes mob while you already are hitting him, if such thing happends it's mostly because of offensive spells not set in db as offensive, report it.

PvP:
Almighty DP points.. oh If oyu are collecting DP points, you are jerk.
If you are trying to be best, you are jerk.
There can't be anyone best in this game, there is always lag, connection problems and so on.. And this game isn't CS. Take pvp as extension of rp.
When you die in pvp you aren't suposed to run out of DR and seek the one who killed you to keep annoying, look: Your char just died, it was painful, he had to seek his way out of DR (which should take much longer than it takes atm) and he went trough many things, if he realy seeks revange, he'll get it in few days, not 5min after he bleeded on ground.

Roleplay:
No lol, omg, rofl etc aren't suposed to even show up...
Use [] when you are talking out of character.
Always do difference between ooc and ic, when you get some info ooc YOUR CHARACTER HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT IT.
Always be polite ooc, ic > make some limits to your imagination, you can't have all the powers of the world (best help is to base your char on your stats).
Always roleplay, from mining to dueling...

Fairness:
Always be fair, this isn't singleplayer, no cheating.. in any ways.
Eg > expliting db bugs to killsteal :)
   > potioning your self during fight (yes it's quite unrealistic to drink potions while you are hanging with your swords)
   > exploiting any kind of bug, settings, code, rules..
   > don't harash people, leave him alone after short time so when he doesn't have time for it, it was ok

we are playing this game to have fun, not to 'break, win against,fight,annoy..' each other

None of this seems unreasonable to me. Some of it is not all that new, but the perpetuity of players reminding eachother of fairly standard conventions is probably for the best.

Regarding.... LOL rofl OMG etc.

This something we all regard as OCC but I fail to understand why this is so. Dont medievial people lol or rofl at all.  :) Or is it they only 'laugh out loud'. I can understand if some says 'I lol' that would be totally OCC .. no one speaks in acronyms. However '/me lol' is says 'Joe lol' ..to me makes sense and is not OOC. If you think this is OCC what do you mean? Surely Medieval characters used acronyms and short cuts in their writing (btw I am no expert in Medieval letters)

i think it's more when they just say "LOL" rather than "/me LOL" which to be honest still annoys me i will admit. It seems too msn for me. I much prefer it if some says something like "/me Laughs emphatically."  Or at least something a bit more descriptive.

I think this thread, regarding the infamous "LOL", is referring to something like this:

Quote
*Annera looks down sadly and says: My parents are both dead

*L33T says: LOL

LOL became so widespread that many times it is used beyond its original meaning. And because of the association of this acronym with "13375|*34|(" and with the internet subculture, I find it very annoying to see it on a game supposed to be about roleplaying in a "medieval" world. And medieval people never used acronyms in stupid ways and in the wrong occasions.

You can laugh, but use "/me laughs loudly" instead of "lol".

I agree with most of what is said, and I think most of the respectable PS community will agree as well.

kill stealing is kindof a funny concept to me... I suppose it'll be less of a big deal when random spawn points are introduced.

I try not to get on anyone's case about it, but I don't use them myself, and IMO it just looks better when you make an attempt to be somewhat descriptive in your roleplay.

I know very few people who haven't used an exploit of some sort at some point and time... it's unfortunate really.  I think it's the one rotten apple spoiling the whole bunch theory really, one person uses the exploit, and then everybody else does to eliminate the other players ill gotten advantage.

Tell me about it.  I don't understand why some people feel they have the grounds to be upset if someone kills a mob they intended to go after.  Just yesterday, I logged into the game and found myself next to a gladiator.  I attacked it and killed it.  As I was walking away, a long time player who (up to that point) came across as a good roleplayer started cussing at me for stealing her kill!  It completely changed the way I view that person.

Kill stealing is a bit of a hard subject for me to form an opinion on.  I can see it as totally ridiculous; then again I can see it as in if I were fishing a spot on a lake and some guy came in and started casting into the spot I had been for some time because he saw I was doing well.  But yea, random spawn points seem like a more realistic (can it be realistic?!) and better overall policy.
