Removal of monsters - and how it ruined my weekend
« on: June 16, 2007, 04:37:37 pm »
I heard from different sources that developers had to take back some amount of monsters, because the NPC client could not handle anymore the huge amount of them.

Unfortunately, the selection you took ruined my weekend...

It is already very hard for me to find some time to play. During the work week, I am hardly able to play due to technical issues. So I am always eager to log in during weekends.

This weekend was a special one for me. I hoped to finally complete all required quests, to get access to the winch before my birthday this year.. But again, and again, you find ways to make it impossible to me ... this time, you removed - from all possible races - just those I need to complete the last quest.

Why was it necessary to remove all of a whole race? Wouldn't it have been the same result to remove the half of all monster races?

Someone give me two rat tails, and an Ulber heart... Or burn down that god damned winch!

I think the problem is not the devs removed the npcs from the game it is that they fall off the map and talad told the gms to stop putting them back as it was taking hours and hours of our time each day to do so. We do hope this bug will be fixed in the next release.

So there is no way to reset all NPCs to their origin while e.g. resetting the NPC client?

And I understand how rats can fall through holes. But when Ulbers to that as well, that I better stay at home! :D

Just for you, If quick replace a few of both, so harry before they wander off again.
Run your permissions at least once a week. You will be amazed what it can solve.

I've noticed they've really cut back on ulbernauts to. there's like only 4 now in the whole game.

No monsters have been removed - they have just been falling off the map.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.
