Anyone been watching Pan's Labyrinth ?

When Ofelia tries to complete the second task, she has to go through lair of Pale Man, a child-eating monster. It has really interesting architecture, color, shape, material... I though it really fits the style of DR:



It doesnt show well, that there are also smaller corridors going side by side with the middle, wiger one, separated only by collumns. Too bad there is no better image, but it is really worth to watch the movie, so besides having fun there is a chance to see what i mean :)

Pale Man beast is scarry too, I wouldn't want something like that to catch me in DR ;o

I love the Pale Man (And that whole movie was deliciously disturbing.) While we won't have anything exactly like that in the game, I can assure you that wonderfully horrifying things are in the works.

I'm weird. I like the Pale Man, but majority of my post wasn't about it ;P
I gues i would feel better if i heard "the corridor design is quite interesting, good inspiration", but it is great too if DR will have a bit of beasts of this kind, with so original anatomy and behaviour ;)

Actually, the house I wish to build (in real life) has many of those elements in it (excluding the pale man). I love buttressed arches, and always welcome the sight of them. Creepy is just a bonus.

but you do have a good point....that place is pretty cool.  The texture and color of the walls themselves are creepy.

In my opinion, if the death realm gets expanded I'd like to see some more things that look nicer and less scary, to reinforce that the Death Realm is a neutral realm as opposed to an evil one.

the pale man doesn't look _very_ scary, but he does look very cool. let's steal him.

It doesnt really have to be that scary, the shape of the walls is not what makes it creepy. Its the colors. Like maybe a very dark neutral earth tone lol. throw in some of those scary one eyed rats and the pale man, youd have an emos dream. all you need is chains at the tables and skulls in the bed.  no lol

but seriously, making it what we call "Mexican Flavor Colors" the arches in the doorways would look plain awesome. Mexican Flavor Colors are like yellows and orange. More neutral that bright, but still orangish all over. and orangish brown. It looks good. Or maybe ever Roman/Greek colors it'd look like like a castle or something.  mememememe!
