Maintenance announce page

I wish there would be a maintenance announce site.
Some small website with a blog in it, or a suboage of planshift.it, just to know how long the server will be down.

Maybe some kind of message like this:

Server down for maintenance from now until 2007-07-08 10pm GMT.

For planned downtimes similar:

Server down for reboot from 2007-07-08 10pm GMT until 2007-07-08 10:15pm GMT.

So I could know if I should wait for the server to come online again, or I should go to bed  :)
I think a message like this you won't need more than 2 minutes to make me (and maybe many more) happy.

when it is scheduled it is posted
when it isn't we sit patiently until it is fixed.

     No way to threaten to fire people if they "don't meet the deadlines" here... specially because they aren't hired, yet there are ways to plan and estimate some things better, even in a volunteer project.
