heya everyone!
as i just read that post
http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=29226.msg335725;topicseen#msg335725 , i wonder why people struggle with permissions =S
i am running Debian/Sid (Sidux), and i once ran the installer as user. all the files then were extracted into my chosen folder, and psclient/pssetup starts up the common way (./psclient etc)
so, using a user-app for accessing internet might be more secure than having it run as a root-permissioned one, no? sure, there might be sudo, yet i am not very convinced of it, because one has to be careful in setting it up properly, for not losing security in the end.
now, is there a specific reason for why you guys install su-wisely?
