players getting deleted after new version

I am just wondering do your characters get deleted every version?

I am new to this, so I don't know much.

besides there is more to playing ps then leveling. like talking to people, playing as your character, sitting looking at the scenery, walking looking at the "scenery"

We're only at version 0.3.019, and 0.1.00 came out around 2002. Take this into consideration if you're really want to wait for v1.0 :} It's not worth it at all.

planeshift will never reach version 1.0 it will get to 0.9.9 then keep adding extra 9s to each new release.

From 0.3.0.018 to 0.3.0.019 it took 5 months. If Planeshift progresss keeps forever on this rate and on such change of digit version:

1.0 = 0.3.0.019 + 0.6.9.981 (69981 consecutive versions yet to 1.0). So if each of these versions would take 5 months to be completed:

69981 * 5 months = 349,905 months = 29,158 years and 9 months!!!!

I am here since Version 0.3.012, and my chars did not get deleted ever.

Some chars of other players even survived from Versions 0.2.x until today (and proudly wear a "Ring of the Past" as sign that they are now "inventory" ... just kidding!)

When they eventually comes to the day wen it's time to delete characters, I hope someone is willing to take the burden of putting up another server, test server maybe. Where the old player's can keep their old and hard earned characters alive.

The whole point of a wipe is to clean up old bugged accounts and test newer and more functional rules. No data is going to be given over to anyone for them to use on another unofficial server.
