OOC:*Jumps in thread* Okay, if I have everything straight, Trefalgr is trying to get rid of the Hazikon. My character does not know this yet (obviously).

IC: A lone hooded traveler walked by the inn. By the look and smell, there had been a recent battle here. The gaping hole in the wall and bodies lying around only confirmed that. The travler took off his hood, and his face revealed him to be a Lemur, one middle-aged. He was carrying a staff, and a quiver of arrows was strapped to his back, along with a longbow. His staff had numerous symbols and runes, along with inscriptions. The traveler also had a large bag that appeared to be full, hanging from his side. He was tall and lean. This Lemur called into the hole, \" Is anyone in here?\", wondering why there was a stecnch of blood, look of battle, blasted door, but most of all, recent evil. He was cautious, and notched an arrow to the string of his longbow. He pointed it at the ground, so he would not shoot a friendly person. He stood to the side, wondering if anyone was inside.

(OOC: Yeah, Trefalgr is trying to get rid of the Haziknon, and there is a horde of demons following him.  Also, this thread is written in present tense, and, like Kinoss said, there is no door.  You could knock on the wall, but since you can see into the building, that kinda changes your story a bit, so you may want to edit it.  Also, you would probably notice the many bodies and burn marks outside the tavern, and if you had been in town last night, chances are you would have heard the news already.  I\'m waiting for Trefalgr to post before I post again. Unless he hasn\'t by late tommorrow.)

(OOC: I think you\'ll be fine, Trefalgr. There are no locations or creatures. Everyone has to make them up.  The only town is Hydlaa, and the only creatures are other players. I\'ll be waiting for your response.)

(OOC: Thanks I feel better now. :D )

Trefalgr quickly gets out of his bed and gathers his things. He takes the majority of his things, including tools and provisions for a few days and wraps them in one of the inn\'s extra blankets. Tearing another into long straps, Treflagr wraps them around the pack making a tubular pack that he can sling around his shoulder and body. Trefalgr then picks up his belt and swords and places it around his waist. With everything in place he double checks his pouch. As he reaches into it, he feels the rough texture of the Haziknon\'s red crystal. Trefalgr remembers those that were killed last night.
\"I cannot fail,\" Trefalgr mutters to himself as he pulls his hand from the pouch and fastens it.

Trefalgr goes down to the tavern and meets up with his new companions. He sees them checking over their packs and eating an early lunch.
Trefalgr remembers his now decesed companion and decideds that he needs taken care of. He appoarches the barkeeper and asked him if he would be able to see to it that his friend gets a decent burial. The barkeeper nods and agrees. Trefalgr gives him enough coins to more than cover the burial. They both smile as Trefalgr joins Zahtek and Kinoss at the lunch table.
\"Good Morning, gentlemen,\" Trefalgr says warmly. \"What is for lunch?\"
\"A fresh lamb stew the barkeepers wife prepared for us this morning,\" Zahtek says.
Kinoss adds, \" She says it will help us keep up our strength for our journey. Here have a roll.\" Kinoss passes one of the warm rolls to Trefalgr.
Dandor appears before the them. \"Eat quickly, you should be on your way within the hour.\"
As the three contiue to eat the barkeeper\'s wife\'s cooking, Trefalgr glances over at a lemur crawling thru the giant hole in the wall. Arrow nocted, he enters carefully.
\"Who is that,\" Trefalgr motions to the newcomer. \"He must be wondering what has happend. Plus he looks like he can fight maybe he can help us.\"
Trefalgr hops up and  apporches the lemur. \"Hello there. I am Trefalgr. May I have the pleasure of your name?\"

Zahtek, also seeing the lemur picks up his new demonsword, places it on his shoulder, and follows Trefalgr.  He looks at the stranger and says, \"No need to notch your bow, friend.  There\'s no more danger here.  Besides, we\'ve taken much worse than you in the past few hours.  Your arrows would only be a slight annoyance to us. Now put that down. There\'s a bit more stew if you want some.\"

The Lemur jumped in surprise when someone popped out of nowhere and introduced himself as Trefalgr. Another man followed with a sword and told him to put his bow and arrow away. The Lemur put his bow and arrow down on the ground, and said, \"I apologize, friends, for the appearence of seeming to be ready to attack you. I was just being cautious, and now that I see that you are friends, I lay down my arms, or the ones I was wielding, as a gesture of peace. You can call me Rantal. What is your esteemed name, my friend?\" The last question was directed towards the man with a large sword. \"I also have my own food, but I thank you for the offer of food.\"

Zahtek looks at Rantal and says, \"I am Zahtek the barbarian.  This is Trefalgr, and that over there, is Kinoss\" he says pointing at Trefalgr and Kinoss in turn.  \"Somewhere around here is an old wizard named Dandor.  We\'re all about ready to leave on a very perilous journey.  Seeing as you deign to wander into any innocent person\'s house or inn with your arrow drawn, perhaps you would like to come with us, perhaps put that bow and arrow to good use.  Trust me, you will need it.\"

\"I might as well join you three, seeing as there\'s nothing else for me to do. Perilous quests should always be exciting, even if someone ends up with a sword next to their neck. Even so, I would like to see what your quest is about. You see, I have a habit of barging into broken down buildings and seeing if anyone is fit for me to kill, either with an arrow or magic. What else are staves used for, anyway?\" Rantal said this while picking up his longbow and arrow, putting the arrow in his quiver and setting the longbow to his side. He then took out his staff and used it to support himself. He then said, \"We\'ll need provisions, money, and extra equipment, depending on how long we think the journey will be. By the way, what are the area\'s weather and inhabitants like, if you know? We can plan further with that information. The problem is getting the money for the provisions, unless one of us happens to be rich.\"

\"Money shouldn\'t be a problem,\" Trefalgr says with reassurance. \"When you work for an entire kingdom, expences are good.\"
Trefalgr and Zahtek return to the table to finish up their meal. Rantal follows close behind but does not sit. He only stands and watches the other eat. Soon the meal is finished and all help with the clean up.
Dandor gathers them back at the table to discuss the journey.
\"Let us get right to it,\" Dandor says. \"The Kandali Temple lies far to the south. Now, it is obvious there is get power seeking the Haziknon. Someone that has control over vast demonic powers. And these demons don\'t seem to be able to handle the light. That is why you must seek shelter durning the night.\"
\"But don\'t you think that someone with that much power would have other agents beside demons,\" Trefalgr asks.
\"I am sure of that,\" Dandor replies, \" but I would rather face bandits than face a legion of demons. That is why you cannot move at night. If you were to fall prey to the demons, the Haziknon would be lost. And if it is as powerful as you say it is, I forsee that to be a dark situation.\"
\"I understand your point. We shall travel during the day and take shelter at night.\" Trefalgr turns to the others. \"We will head for the town of Letranech. I think a small village lies between here and there, we can get extra supplies there.\"
All agreed and the five adventures got on there horses and took to the road.

While the group was riding their mounts along the road, Rantal said to the person he assumed to be Dandor, as there was no other possibility that the others were named Dandor, \"Please excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is this... Haziknon you speak of? I hear you say the word of the object as everybody should know it, but I am afraid that I do not know what it is. From what I hear, the object is being sought by demons and their master, and we must destroy it. Please enlighten me on how we are to destroy it.\"

Rantal heard the speech about what they had to do clearly, and decided that if he were to spot an enemy, he would strike first rather than strike last. So he hung his magical staff (which had the ability to cast spells, but Rantal did not wish to waste energy on that unless absolutely necessary) at his side and attached it to his belt. He then took out his longbow and held it while hollding the reins, and wondered if he was an expert horseman and archer enough to shoot an arrow while riding a  horse in motion.
