No practice points in Dark Way?

Since the upgrade I've been unable to gain practice points in Dark Way.

Details:  I'm currently level 8 training towards level 9 in Dark Way.
The only Dark Way spell I know right now is Weakness.
When I successfully cast the spell, the system window says, "You have instilled weakness and illness in your enemy" (or something to that effect), but it does not give me a message stating that I've gained practice points in Dark Way.
The spell works as it should, despite the fact that I gain no practice points for casting it.

Is anybody experiencing similar problems?  Is it a systemic problem, or just me?

Yes.  I have the green/red bar, but it doesn't move.

make sure the bar is fully green by going to the trainer and making sure the trainer gives you a message saying you can't learn any more theoretical knowledge.

you make be a point or two off, and just not able to see it in the bar.

Thanks!  I was one point off.  I'll have to watch for that from now on.

this is a common issue. 

won't be a problem when someone makes a train max, or train as much as possible button and code to execute it.
