Oh boy, I am so old ... it is the first poll in this board I found in time to vote (missed the first Guild Spotlight)... But 32 should be a good age to found a family, right?!

And now I understand the "quicksilver" character of Pirill! :P

P.S.:
What a shame Bobuzz isn't here anymore. He'd beat you "so far oldest" easily.

Age is not the optimal criterion for a level of adulthood. Unfortunately, just the only (quickly) measurable...

23, although after a good tennis match I feel about... 57 or so.
To see the world in a grain of sand
And Heaven in a wild flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.

In the MMORPG public, I think it is at least partially accurate. 25 years old "leets" are the exception to the rule, as 13 years old roleplayers are.

A great many people I have met ingame do not use the forum. This can be seen by the 24642 forum members, and the 400,000+ game accounts.

Large scale surveys are rarely all encompassing. You take a sample and work from that... That is what they are doing. The age range of the game will change depending on the content you add anyway. I don't think the content should change depending on the age range. That would be very ridged. But at the same time I would hate the game to be marked "mature" so I am being slightly hypocritical but I'm sure you see my point. Even if I'm in no state to convey it eloquently.

"Mature" content doesn't attract mature people, instead it actually attracts teenager 1337s with their hormones blowing and perverted degenerates(among other dregs of the Internet, including even criminals). In fact Second Life is a fine example of what "Mature" content attracts. For me, truly mature content is based on complex themes like philosophy, religion, politics, moral dillemas, among other things that are too mind-challenging for the average "leet" who wants only another "pwnage" and "phat l00t". In other words: Civilization IV is a mature game for me, while Playboy Mansion isn't. I don't want PlaneShift to degenerate into this.

Being a strong follower of fantasy fiction role-playing and Sci-Fi, these were going to be my targets (or so I thought) for the next few days... Then I walked outside of the home, and what do I see? Rows and rows of signs for everything that your mother told you to never say/think without going blind. This pattern repeated itself with over 85% of the places I looked for to do with anything rpg/sci-fi/fantasy fiction...
So this is pretty much what the community in Second Life is, smut. A simple look at the most popular places in the sim will result in - porn, casinos, porn shops, strip joints, more porn, more strip joints, etc. A good majority of the community is very creepy...

...it is pretty much moderator free...So that means that tons of sickos get to use the property they buy to store child pornography and copyrighted material...

P.S.: If you really want "mature" content, you should buy certain magazines or visit certain sites, otherwise I think the game won't be playable as one would then be too busy with is own hands to use both mouse and keyboard, if you know what I mean(and if you don't, don't ask!).

I want Mature content in PlaneShift, but I do not want "Mature" content!

Unfortunately a very small percentage of the population find things that challenge the mind in any such profound way fun. Least of all the mass of people on the internet and the only thing the Devs get in the way of a signal of how "well" they are doing is the number of players going up.
