Enemies Impervious to attack

So I've been trying to play this game for three days now.  Everytime i over come one speed bump i run into another.  First i couldnt get the game to download then i couldnt get the game to run then i couldnt get graphics to show up (all black) and when i finally found the PSClientCMD with -fullbright option i got everything to show up but now i cant attack anything not even rats because the game is saying that they're impervious...is there a way to fix this?

when he critters don't want to play... the only thing to do is wait.  the npc clinet is a separte piece of softare that will have troubles like the server itself
