I dont get how you make a short cut and i read another post about it but it doesn work it says it has to find out who is the maker of the program. Please help

thank you for writing planeshift technical support. my name is steuben. i under stand that you appear to be have some trouble with our software. however, can you please elborate on the problem providing error messages, operating system and which version of the planeshift client that you downloaded.

When i do the send to desktops it seems ok except that it has no symbol. When i try to use it says windows need to know who created this file. I re-updated planeshift and still stayed the same way. Right now i am redownloading and maybe this will help. Also when it says to search for the creator i tried to do it but i messed up cause i dont really know wat to do ???

If you are having difficulties trying to explain what exactly is the problem, try using screenshots.

I downloaded the Xordan cause my computer wont let me download PS International Community, and i also tried it on my bros computer and for some reason it didnt work even though i downloaded it on his computer before. I just had my computer cleaned recently

Wait, i remembered that i downloaded the PS International Community and i put it on a CD and i think maybe that something is corupted maybe... I gonna try the CD

Make sure you selected a download for the correct operating system, first of all. If you install on Windows, a shortcut should be made on your desktop automatically. If it doesn't, you can create your own by right-clicking on psclient.exe (you can find it in C:\Program Files\PlaneShift Crystal Blue by default) and selecting "Send To -> Desktop (create shortcut)". Once you click on it, it should launch the game client.

If you are running into other problems, you might have to follow Neko's suggestion and take a screenshot, because it's a little hard to understand what is going on. Hit the Print Screen button on your keyboard, then paste the image into any graphic editing application (GIMP is a nice free one). Save it, then upload it to an image host online (ImageShack) and paste the link you get here.

press "prt scr" button then open something like paint or photoshop .. any image type program .. right click or goto edit and select paste.

from there save as something small (better yet resize as well) and upload to something like http://photobucket.com/ to host.

Most picture hosting sites will provide links somewhere in you "Album" page for you to use in a post such as this

Putting the close bracket where the * is should do this

   


ok I know the image is not appropriate for this forum but its the only reasonable image I had handy.

it probably does, but by default windows hides that from the user unless you tell it you want to see the extensions becuase people are dumb and accidentally rename things, changing the extension or even removing it, and then wonder why their programs don't work any more.
