Problem with "wooden sword prank"-quest

Hi there,

since the NPC client was/is down most of the time yesterday i thought i could do a few quests.
Well i went to some guard fellow and he asked me to help him with a little prank he likes to play to some other guard fellow. Well, i went with it and he told me to get a wooden sword from that big red Gladiator Trainer named Gregori. So i went to Gregori and told him about this prank and he said i could have a wooden sword for 50 trias. Well when i tried to gave him an octa he just refused the trade.
Is this because of the not working NPC client or did i do something wrong or does this Gregori guy has an aversion against red money?

currently the limitation to the game is that if the quest nps asks for "trias", then you need to give them "trias" in order for it to work.  So go get that octa changed into 50 little tria coins and try again.  i believe theres even an npc that will do it for free.

this is not true any npc can take circles hexa's or octa's as well as trias for quests but right now there are some bugs in quests with trading a lot of items the gm team is working with xillix on coming up with a list so the devs can try to solve this

well, you didn't really "mis-speak" ... it was good info.  Even the most recently added quests require exact change (I did the one with the attitudinal-cutthroat leader on Friday).  I've never had the pleasure of doing a quest in which the NPC will give me change (I don't always test it) ...  if I'm at a merchant, I usually end up buying something and selling it back to him immediately to get change)

It's not a quest, really. Worrem Dhoshi will exchange your money anytime (limited to values of 10, 50 and 250 tria.)

No, I meant that I've always had to give the NPC the exact change ... (and I don't ALWAYS test if they'll take an Octa and give me change for it ... e.g. give Jayose an octa when he asks for 50 tria for paper and ink ... sometimes I test it, for kicks.  It's never worked, for me)

I just completed this quest and handed him one red (octa) i think it is called
with no issues

I guess that quest got killed for me after all these server crashes. He still doesn't accept the money.

Yeah, I just finished this quest without any problems too, if there was a bug it is fixed now. I'd say enter a petition and see if you can get it removed from your list.

NO gm can remove quests from players so please dont petition it

I have the same problem! Gregori won't accept the money! I have tried everything: trias, hexas, octa - but with no effect. I think there's a bug really. I hope it will be fixed soon.

I just tried it and he won't take 50 trias 5 hexas or 1 octa.
