the Empathy skill

ok i was wondering how you train empathy after you have filled the yellow part i know you are supposed to ask in game but there are few who have this skill

also if this is considered a spoiler can you give me your in game name so i may /tell and ask you

Empathy is not a working skill at the moment. We have a stickied thread with a list of all working and nonworking skills in the Newbie section of the board.

thats odd because ive seen some one near the hydlaa gold mine who had a rat "familiar"

I doubt it was a rat - maybe that NPC spawns there, or perhaps was lured by a player. We have two pets in the game right now: a Groffel, and a Yulbar. They are both of magical origins, so you'll have to talk to someone who knows the six ways (and perhaps do them a favor) to get your hands on one. It does not involve any character skill.

ok so next time i see a bright blue rat that when left clicked says [characters name]'s familiar ill know it was lured

That might be a bug, the pet system has been having problems for a long time now We don't have a familiar system aside from the two pets I have mentioned.

just a side note, with the buggy pet system, at one point, my pet was a dwarf.    cute little fella

I've also seen a familiar, in the magic shop. I thought it was an NPC but I only saw there once.

Familiars are still around .. but they aren't working as they should. Mine disappears as soon as it starts to move, then sometimes reappears somewhere else entirely.
