The maps that are encouraged in the fan art section are artistic representations of Yliakum or its various cities. No spoilers or map how-to's, which is what everyone immediately wants

All I was looking for was the basic stuff, BD, Hydlaa, Oja, roads, etc. Hard not to show those on any sort of map...

There are maps available in-game ... though only a map of Hydlaa can be bought from NPC's, all other maps need to be made by the players themselves.

Talking about the maps in this page or more like world depictions. the first one I don't really know what the "heck" it represents, is it up in the air what are those two blobs on either side. Well luckily there the other another three on the page to help me out or confuse me more. Number two is a nice sketch depicting this as an underground vault, Hard to make out but it apears that its a talagmite and all that work is honeycombed in the cieling of some cave. Number three reenforces the notion that it is underground but the cave is gone. And number four makes it out to be sort of an asteroid out in space just suspended there in the middle of a yellow field. Having read comments from other users, the #2 stalagmite theory is the one that holds sway. So in ending, from the last three, which one is the correct depiction. And what the heck is the first one illustrating, I can make out the living living area but what are the other parts?

Get a copy of crystal space... and load up a map.... go up in the sky.. take a screeny and make your own.

If you're mapping out somewhere that has different zone/regions (such as the arena)... take note of the coords and region names... and screen shot each region from the same position. (You can then build those awkward areas into maps by overlaying the screenies).

Of course... these types of maps are brutally OOC because ariel photography doesn't exist in Yliakum... but if you're wanting to make spoiler-maps for your own guild... this is how I did it

Something that might give you more freedom and familiarity of use is to compile your own PS server, load the maps in, and use GM commands to move yourself around and figure out what is where :] I'm guessing this might be a bit easier than figuring out walktest. Check this thread for compiling guides and other useful links to try this out.
