there was.... i obviously had to replace you... the member i rplaced you with became too inactive to be second in command so i demoted him. now he is no longer second in command, hence the \"former second in command\"

its insulting to hear that you believe that i would be stupid enough to post somehting accusing you of something when i know perfectly well that you read the forums

and furthermore, id like to think that we are still friendly but apparently you dont desire the same thing....

As you see, the spoken event happened last weekend...when I was second in command.  This is what made me believe that you were referring to me.  Now you say it was someone that you recently had as second in command.  Your story doesn\'t follow suit.  And as far as being friendly, I am not trying to be mean at all, I am just trying to keep things clear.

ahhh....this is true, isnt it... then it must have been me... if so, i apologize Kiern. I\'m not sure why this happened, but, FYI, we don\'t just recruit random members. Here is our system:

Recruitment:

1. Anyone wishing to enter FSO may do so, as an Apprentice.

2. After 7 days as an Apprentice, the guild council makes a decision.

3. If the decision is to keep the new recruit then they are promoted to a low ranking class of the section they choose. If the council decides to reject the new recruit, they are immediately ejected from the guild, making room for new Apprentices.

So as you see, there is NO random recruiting. Just very loose recruitment to Apprentice class membership. Official guild membership is not so open.

Ok, I have a question, an honest to goodness real question. It\'s not meant as a flame or anything. But what is the point of making these guilds right now? Can they even do anythig? I mean, the game is still pre alpha right? What is the point of joining a guild... again cna we even do anything with them?

*sigh* ill answer your damn question..... \"Why make guilds?\" what else is there to do, quite honestly? The onlt things to do in the game at this stage is to collect crystals, and to build communities. Why is a final release needed to build community? Guilds, or atleast my guild, is here to get itself a foundation and active member base, full of community, before the game is released.... you can continue on with your way of thinking, but when it is released and you try to build a guild, you will not only be outdone by guilds of old, you will have one hell of a struggle getting a member base in the beginning of a game, people want to go out and explore on their own. By starting one early on then the guild gains power and publicity more easily since there is less distraction.... but anyways, im rambling on, probobly making very little sense, but o well.... i tried, lol.

NO, you made perfect sense... I was not saying I opposed that way of thinking... I just did not understand it. I agree with you now. I just did not undestand the reasons for making one, but now I do. Thank you.

yeah, this thread was getting a little personal...

btw, if you think there are a lot of nonsense guilds now, wait till the final product *sighs*

so I we all should unwind and take it easy for now. let them fiddle with all the \"bells and whistles\" because it will loose interest for those who aren\'t ready or willing for the responsibilities

bye :D
