Unable to train metallurgy

I am level 2 in metallurgy and have learned all I can from Harnquist towards level 3.  I am attempting to finish my training by melting and casting iron ores.  When I do this, my skill does not increase at all and I don't even get the typical "You have learned some Metallurgy" message.  I have processed 30 iron ore and yet my skill has not improved one bit.  Thoughts?

I think I remember this bug being already reported in the bugtracker. If I am not wrong - the old one.

have you tried more of the process? [not all steps give points at all levels for all materials]

Tonight I tried to gain knowledge in metallurgy with some in-game help from a player with a lot of knowledge. I currently have 0 in metallurgy, but trained fully.

I can cast iron ingots, and have had gained nothing in the form of practice. The player suggested I put 10 molten irons in to cast a stock, as they did to gain rank. To no avail.

Any suggestions?

you need a special book in mind to get knownledge from iron stocks...

Yes, I have that special book in mind and I still don't gain exp from smelting or casting.

Don't make ingots - make stocks, then you will gains Experience
