Are you an administrator? Did you copy the Planeshift folder from the disk image to your computer?

You be on one of the few computers that it just won't work on. :( Try running it in Rosetta and see if that helps.

I'm having the same problem, it sounds like. I've followed every direction I could find on this site - using the new client, the patched client, trying an update, not trying an update, trying different setup options and I am able to create my character and right after that process the client crashes. When I open it back up I can log in and click on my new character, but as soon as it tries to connect, the client crashes. I've tried running it from the command line - as root and as an admin user, as well as from the GUI.

I'm on a brand new Intel Macbook Pro in OS 10.4.10

for now the dev that is building the mac client does not have 10.4.10 so for now you will have to wait till someone gets this version to see what the bugs are in it. This seems to be the same type of issue as 10.3.9 you will just have to wait till they find a fix for this bug.

10.3.9 is working just fine now and Trymm almost definitely has 10.4.10. He just hasn't had the time to find a fix yet.

Please read stickies before posting. If you had, you'd have seen that you are NOT supposed to update.
Also, do NOT post the same thing in two places. We can read just fine. Posting twice just means that we have to spend time reading both of your posts before helping you with a solution. Your other post has been deleted.
